it's obvious a lot of content creators milk online negativity for engagement without even really believing it as was obvious with tlou2. the way people talked about it I thought it was gonna be some sort of pride parade feminist nightmare lol
but nah I aint subscribing to this mentality that we gotta be patient and wait for a game we paid full price on day 1 to be good. especially battlefront, that shyt is 20 years old how you gonna bring it back and make it worse

This is how I feel when I read the general discourse about gaming these days. In particular I've been lurking stuff for Cities Skylines 2 and Kerbal Space Program 2. You would have thought these developers promised to buy them a puppy then threw it off a cliff in front of them. Like y'all can't just... go find other shyt to do until the game is at a state in which you want to play it? I know the irony in this statement, but I don't like how people think their opinions matter - or at least matter to others - especially when they're belligerent about it.
Breh I'm eating with Tomb Raider Remastered, Witcher 3, RDR2.
Honestly, the only genre slacking these days are sports games and racing games. If you like those I get it.

Depends on the type of racer. There's nothing like Ridge Racer out these days. There hasn't been a Ridge Racer on consoles since PS3. If you love sim racers, you've got plenty of quality options. If you like an in-between or pure arcade you're kind of out of high quality, high budget options.
The way I see it, gaming is going where the movie industry once went.
Television series are going to be the new movies.
And social media influences (youtube) will be the new TV.
Music industry will collapse with the height of AI, to the point, heads are going to want to resort to podcast listening.....as that in itself is the new music industry.
Yeahhhhh sadly the games I pointed out are sims to the heart. We took the days of arcade racing games for granted, especially when Blur and Project Gotham Racing flopped in favor of Forza and Gran Turismo.

If the publishers valued having a stable, content filled game over alpha releases and fix-it-laters then the negative pool would be significantly smaller. Even a trillion dollar company like Microsoft isn't immune to that and would happily tarnish the reputation of some franchises just to have another dollar a day early.
This is a perfect example of it because you have websites like PC gamer creating clickbait articles because it gets hits
