One thing I will say is the game has become too homogenized, teams don't really have a specific identity. Every team wants to play fast, get downhill and get transition buckets whether that be at the rim or 3pt line. Teams have realized 3 is worth way more than 2 so they've simply built their teams around 3 pt shooting, which I get because they are r to win, damn if it looks good. But that's the only problem, is that it by and large doesn't look good, I can't blame people for tuning out of straight up 3pt competitions. We also may be past the point of offensive players getting the benefit of the doubt ie: traveling, carrying, offensive fouls not being called, that shyt is straight up frustrating for the viewer. I'm a bball head so I'll keep up with the game to an extent (especially once 2025 rolls around) but these would be complaints from the perspective of someone who might be a casual viewer.

I see this type of thread made often on here and it makes me realize that it’s a lot of nikkas on this website cosplaying as black. I have no idea how a forum which is supposed to be a safe haven for heterosexual black men could have so much NBA slander in it. I’ve never met a breh in real life who openly slanders/disrespects the league. They may prefer other sports more sure, but to straight up shyt on it? Nah…I only see white men on that timing…interesting….:mjpls:

Sometimes you think people on the coli are buying derivatives directly negatively correlated with the number of people that watch the nba :mjlol:. Not even the revenue of global numbers, streams or whatever. Just how many people watch it on cable in the us

Brehs be like this year less people in the US watch the first 5 games of the NBA than last year :shaq:

Pure facts! We all know the NFL is number one, but its way too many people on here who go out there way, bend over backwards, and live to sh*t on the NBA. I don't know any fellow AA's or non FBA's in real life that do this. Hell, even Mexicans and Latinos that I've come across and know don't do this either to be honest. Strange indeed

I wonder if there are any restructuring triggers in the broadcasting deals the league signed. If the ratings and viewership drop dramatically and the networks can’t sell commercial spots at the same high rates, they’ll struggle to pay the league and fulfill the broadcasting deals. These team valuations and max contracts seem very bubblish.

Most teams ran it back.

The NBA seems to want “parity” and “continuity” but the NBA fans want fukkery.

Blame the cac executives

They were looking to equalize the game for white euro prospects. Not realizing Black Americans and Black international players would just shoot more 3s too.

The media was bullying us for years that euro basketball was the more beautiful product. Now that it has been copied fully by the NBA, the product is allegedly dead
Look at this shyt.

Now it's a problem that players are shooting threes and playing "the right way" while shooting 41% from three point range :mjlol: :heh:

This is the game they wanted.

Problem is the NBA is a star driven League and they're struggling to create true Superstars that transcend the sport. Two biggest stars in basketball right now are Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

If Cooper Flagg fails to generate interest next season then the league might be cooked once the old guard hang it up.
Im pretty sure he will, im being real superficial, but just look at the kid, he looks like he's bored all the time, I know he actually isn't but he don't got that hyper marketed superstar look. But I honestly don't even really see him being a star in the NBA anyway but that's just me
