Games on NBC will fix this @K-Apps
Ehhh I wouldn't say that necessarily as I don't think that people care too much about sports during the week outside of MNF. Even the NFL failed when they tried making TNF on network television a thing.

More than likely it will be around the same ratings that they get when they on ABC on Sundays.

Bruh, on top of the bolded, the season ain’t even six games deep and if you listen to pundits and fans, you already have talk about who should punt on the season, who’s real and who’s pretend, why such and such should be traded, which coaches shouldn’t make it to AS weekend, etc. Then I’ve also never seen a group of fans and media who seem like they can’t wait to shyt on players or the on court product. Again, we are 5 games into the season and the above mentioned is already part of the dialogue. Stat geeks and gamblers have killed this sport IMO

NBA discourse is built on negativity

People have far more enjoyment talking about the things they don’t like and toxic negativity than the things they do like

Plus the Skip Bayless/Stephen A/Nick Wright brand of media completely incentivized bad faith agendas in the worst way

The tension to the game has evaporated and really only exists in the playoffs, which is when I only watch

Teams are just on cruise control for half of the game, and it looks like the players just want to hurry up and just get to the playoffs themselves. The 3 point chucking is horrendous to watch

Hell, why should they go all out when a 10 seed can get into the play-in and make a potential run ?

Well the reason they added the play in game was because of the sheer amount of teams that were basically punting the last month of the season since they either already had a playoff spot locked up or were too far back to get in.

So if you make it to where only the top 6 seeds are guaranteed to a playoff spot, and that the 9/10 seeds have a chance that gives more teams something to play for down the stretch

So while 20 teams playing postseason games isn’t ideal, I’d say in that regard it was a success

Im just happy alot of people in here who stuck up for this style of NBA are the same ones in here now saying its trash

shooting 3s is never the problem, its the competitiveness of the game
its the fact they made NBA some middle school/ high class player league of weirdo fakkits and no actual substance (No more Ricky Davis, Zach Randolph, Rasheed Wallace type players)

and I'm noticing the fact that the game is evolving into only exploiting the easiest, go to, moves in basketball repertoire
3 ball is usually loosely guarded so they pull it, the pick and roll is on some Steve Nash, put them on the hip and pull up running diagonal to either get your shot off or draw a foul
or be a big, one dribble drop step... pump fake, hook shot

its kind of like 2k with exploiting moves and shyt
everyone cant just dream shake every move or do the same shyt luka or harden do every single play
its all effective but its boring to watch. 99% of the players in the league, I can tell you exactly how tomorrow's game is gonna play out without even watching it. Durant does the same shots and style every single game he plays I dont even need to watch it anymore

People knock players and it warranted in many cases but its never any smoke for owners. NBA used to operate like a sport with such a long regular season should... with a short postseason. They got greedy and pushed for more. Well thats gonna eventually take away from the regular season. You cant expect guys to go all out for 82 games AND 4 full playoff rounds. They aint cutting back so like you said, the only way to actually give some incentive was to actually give more teams a chance and give top teams something to avoid :manny:

And fans gotta be accountable too. All this ringzzz talk completely devalues the regular season. If a guy does go hard for 82 games and does special shyt all season you just gonna shyt on him if he isnt fortunate enough to be on a championship team.

I've tried to stay away from negativity trap

But I have to admit, teams spamming threes is getting really boring
