The tension to the game has evaporated and really only exists in the playoffs, which is when I only watch

Teams are just on cruise control for half of the game, and it looks like the players just want to hurry up and just get to the playoffs themselves. The 3 point chucking is horrendous to watch

Hell, why should they go all out when a 10 seed can get into the play-in and make a potential run ?

Im pretty sure he will, im being real superficial, but just look at the kid, he looks like he's bored all the time, I know he actually isn't but he don't got that hyper marketed superstar look. But I honestly don't even really see him being a star in the NBA anyway but that's just me
He's white lol

Problem is the NBA is a star driven League and they're struggling to create true Superstars that transcend the sport. Two biggest stars in basketball right now are Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

If Cooper Flagg fails to generate interest next season then the league might be cooked once the old guard hang it up.
a star driven league promotes stars themselves and not necessarily basketball as a sport/game. So when stakes are low people dont care about actual games played, they want storylines and content.

theres tons of asian folks who worship nba superstars but they dont really watch the games like that. especially in this day and age where you can consume content about superstars in form of a youtube short, tik tok video or whatever, rather than watching all or large part of an actual game

Most teams ran it back.

The NBA seems to want “parity” and “continuity” but the NBA fans want fukkery.
The new cap apron penalties will definitely bring even more parity than we've had the past six years with six different champions. They seem to want to be more like the NFL in that regard.

I've said it in other threads but one way to bring back competitiveness in the regular season is to have weighted schedules like the NFL. If you win your division in the NFL, the next season, you will play the other three division winners in your conference while the last place teams will play each other.

With the NBA, I'll use Boston as an example. Instead of 3-4 games against Washington, Detroit and Charlotte this season, you'd subtract one meeting from each team and add an extra game against Orlando, Milwaukee (the other two division winners) and New York (second in their division and also the second best record in the conference).

East/West play each other twice a year. Taking Boston as the example again, I'd take away the second game against the dregs of the West from last year (Portland, San Antonio and Memphis) and give them an extra game against OKC, Denver and LAC (they had the third best record in the West last year). Likewise, those three West teams would get one fewer game against Washington, Detroit and Charlotte.

Just something where the best teams from the previous season play each other more the next season so those games matter more and have a bigger impact on the final standings.

For some reason, I’m not interested in the league at all recently.

I think I may have flabby-headed out of it. :flabbynsick:

All the All-Star changes, logos on jerseys, partnerships with streamers and I have no idea who the fukk they are…

It’s like the league isn’t for me any more.

Been fukking with soccer and NHL more…

How do logos on the jersey hurt your interest?

Will that give the weaker teams an advantage?

Not only is the game itself less fun to watch now that every game is a 3 point contest. But the players and media have been telling us for a decade that the regular season doesn’t matter. If the shyt don’t matter then why would you expect me to watch?
Bruh, on top of the bolded, the season ain’t even six games deep and if you listen to pundits and fans, you already have talk about who should punt on the season, who’s real and who’s pretend, why such and such should be traded, which coaches shouldn’t make it to AS weekend, etc. Then I’ve also never seen a group of fans and media who seem like they can’t wait to shyt on players or the on court product. Again, we are 5 games into the season and the above mentioned is already part of the dialogue. Stat geeks and gamblers have killed this sport IMO
