I wonder if they could give the winning team a extra week off after the all-star week?

I wonder if that would work financially and schedule wise.
Seems like for this to work scheduling wise they'll have to make the entire NBA schedule kind of take a ~5 day mini break from maybe around the 6th through 10th of December since they'll have no way of accounting for what teams will be in the final four.

Bradley Beal ain't winning anything during current schedule.

Again... do you even know what you're arguing against?

Beal doesn't care about tournament, but he cares about Games 35-42 under current structure, eh?

Stop being contrarian just for the sake of throwing dirt on something new.
No one cares about this tournament except you try hards who barely watch the non marquee games but swear y’all will watch and support this. Y’all fugazi

The lakers would probably sat Bron and AD for the season if this play in wasn’t a thing.

majority of the nba never seen a game check as big as 500k
Again, only 9 players made the $1.1MM. League avg is $4MM+. Y’all playing y’all selves if you really believe these dudes are gonna give a shyt about an extra $500k. They get bigger bread from actual contracts that they don’t seem to care much about. This ain’t gonna move them.

a lottery pick is too much, but it would be rather easy to provide the winning team a pick at the end of the 1st round

that along with the player payouts would be a nice enough reward
A lottery pick in genuine incentive. The 31st pick in the draft is not.

Nah they had Shaq, Kobe, AI & Vince Carter.

Right now there are literally no SUPERstars that could be global ambassadors for the sport with the dynamic play & personality to draw in casuals.

The NBA doesn't have someone comparable to Pat Mahomes.
They were saying that it was a void after Jordan. It didn't last long, they stopped saying it around 00-01 then by 03 they were saying Bron, Melo, Wade were ushering the new wave of superstars. Kobe, AI, Shaq and KG were the most visible outside of basketball but they were considered carryovers from the end of the MJ era
