You’re just part of that overly negative group of NBA fans opposed to any sort of change but then complaining about guys not trying and not having an incentive. 500k for one game is more than most players make per game. I have no idea what the hell you’re talking about. That’s the equivalent of a player who makes 41 million dollar per year. In other words, that’s more money than anyone not on a max is making per game. Moreover, with the 64 game minimum to be all nba, why wouldn’t players play hard in the regular season games? Only the championship game itself doesn’t count towards your stats. You think dudes are going to play hard on regular season games and then suddenly decide they don’t want that 500k in the actual title game?

Given the fact that 99% of the time a top 3 team wins the championship (literally only 3 times has a 4-8 seeded team won), how does this change anything?

The Dunk Wheel had more impact on an outcome than this.

They need to have an incentive like winner of the tournament gets first round bye, gets to choose a game a road game to play at home or something.

2. All the lower teams are invited from the lower level leagues. Are the NBA gonna invite G-League teams? lol
