It's absolutely not the same, FA Cup has 732 teams playing throughout from qualifiers to the final. Lower division all the way down to the 10th level of semi pro teams.

There are no semipro teams sniffing this. No G League teams in this.

The Winston Salem Wolves of the East Coast Basketball League don't have a shot to host the Boston Celtics in this tournament. But teams from the PL will face tiny teams all the time if they are drawn against them in the tournament.
