fukk the lotto just go by worst team like the nfl and also limit the trades of draft picks to only 2-3 years this 2021 1st rd pick shyt ain't what's up....I don't care if a team tanks....

But I also think each team should have a max cap, a near max slot, with the rest been under 10 mill a year....so that will spread the teams out a bit more talent wise.

The real issue isn't tanking or the draft, it's free agency.

Exactly players aren't staying In Milwaukee, Utah, Cleveland, Minnesota, Phoenix for some reason unless these teams over spend......I'd add Atlanta to the list also but I don't know why players don't like it when a lot of them party there...that's why I think salary cap reform and a hard cap is better them changing the lotto....it will make teams think twice before giving amaretto stoudamire a max.

Yea, the biggest problem is that there is no incentive for teams that are not championship contenders or a bottom 5 team for most years. Free agency is misused by so many GMs that it makes it impossible for a "parity" league.

Just give all non playoff teams the same chance to get the number 1 pick or make it based off worst record. The draft is the only way teams at the bottom can get better because they're not gonna be able to attract big free agents to their teams.

So, hypothetically, lets say the Cavs have the #1 pick going into next year's 2014 draft and the Lakers have the #1 pick in 2015. What would stop Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, and Julius Randle from staying an extra year in college in order to not be drafted by the Cavs, but instead the Lakers?
In a sense, I could actually improve the college game too...

I see nothing wrong with this idea at all. And for cats talking about college players picking when to declare for the draft: 1. Why is that an issue? 2. Choosing to stay in school longer is a huge gamble. 3. Staying longer only means we get more NBA ready players.

It really just sounds like a bunch of dudes who either hate change or like draft lottery conspiracy theories.
