Nah Lost Tapes is actually highly rated by Nas fans and usually listed as a top 3 Nas project.

Yup, this song & Find Your Wealth from the QB comp would've fit perfect on LT. I usually play both right after finishing a LT listen.

This is a testament to how great Nas is, to the point where a compilation album of his unreleased tracks is considered one of his best projects.

What's really interesting is the whole thing sounds like a brand new album. Whoever chose the songs and sequenced them was thinking on another level because it plays like all of them were recorded specifically for one album and only two or three producers did all the beats.

Some of ya'll may be too young to remember Tower Records but I remember seeing a tower record tracking listing for TLT CD that included
My Worst Enemy is Me, Your Mouth Got You In It and You Don't Know Me. I would have wanted that version as at least the Japanese import. But those and Rise and Fall, Seeds of Heaven and some freestyles were some of the songs I bet was on the short list for 2003 version of TLT 2 that was scrapped.

Ironically, we all know about the DEF Jam era version that was scrapped and we all went on to petition it to no avail. @Ziggiy, remember that? That version of TLT2 might have very well been all Def Jam era material only since we don't know if he had control over his Sony catalog at that time.

Now, we do know he has control of the Sony vaults... we just don't know if he still has the Def Jam vaults.

In the gym this morning, Nas' NY Stomp/The Scientist played on my iphone. It sounds great. I hadn't heard it in a while. With the revelation that Nas went back to complete his work to finish up TLT, it brings some hope that he will finish it and release it.

It's better than Ilmatic. This pen game on TLT is much more potent than in Illmatic. He was flowing like the GOAT he is.
