One thing I never see mentioned in regard to unreleased Nas songs are the No I.D. and Jermaine Dupri sessions from Untitled. There was some information that No I.D. and Jermaine Dupri completed like four songs with Nas. One of them was a version of "Project Roach". Another one was the song below:

No I.D. had a Myspace page where he talked about Untitled back in 2007 in the earlier stages of the album.

Yea I always wondered why NO ID’s version of Project Roach didn’t make the album. I DISTINCTLY remember he did an interview maybe a week before the album leaked talking about how the song was coming along well...and then BAM! Eric Hudson??? Always confused me. Even though the retail version of Project Roach was fire i always wondered about that.

Jermaine was on either Myspace or Youtube showing one of the beats he was crafting for Nas. It sounded pretty good but Nas never used it.

That whole Untitled era was weird. It got prematurely reviewed. Nas did an interview with Urb and they were talking about the tracklist and it had Alchemist and Will.i.am songs. None of the No I.D. and JD songs made it. "America's Top Brothel" was cut as was "The Fear". Jay Elect talked about having like four piano interludes on the album.

The tracklist leaks and "Who Are You" is on it. The album drops, but it mysteriously isn't on it. Nas had an interview and he's asking "What's on the album".

A Nas track that I loved that I think was underrated and I truly think should've been on the ****** album is Legendary. I think Nas could've flipped it enough so that it could fit. all he had to say that in the end, the treated Mike Tyson like a ******. Whether he said it or not, Its a dope song about the champion in crazy ass Iron Mike.

I believe it was originally made for the Tyson documentary that dropped that year (its in the intro) and it did show up on the Green Lantern tape before Untitled

True. I remember that because he was surprised Who Are You was not on the album and he went on to say that some songs that should’ve made the album didn’t make it. I’m certain he was talking about that one.

Ok. Anybody test... I take it that this may be a track that Nas is referring to when he says that he does stuff in the studio that others aren’t supposed to hear. Lol. I’m the irony with that is that it’s not that bad. I heard that he also did a no reggae accented version and if so, that might’ve turned out event better.

Be a bigger too... seems like that was supposed to be like the title track of the ****** album. I’m assuming it was not added for sample clearance reasons. There is another version that appeared on the Green Lantern mixtape that was ok but not better than the original IMO.

Nas and his team have shown that when a sample doesn’t clear, they can do an interpolation of the sample and still put the track out like Fetus and America. Even The Message and Hate Me Now. I wonder why the why haven’t done this with other tracks that have had sample clearances.

The Nasdac Dow Jones album... what was recorded for those sessions?

Finally, I personally hate it when Nas throws real quality tracks on soundtracks but they never get an official release on one of his projects i.e., Gangsta Tears, Escobar 97, Wanna Play Rough, Wanna Be Me, One on One and Nas’ Angels. It’s entirely possible that some agreement has been made for the exclusive rights to the songs but shyt like this has bothered me since Gangstar was able to put their soundtrack tracks on Full clip.

I think the criticism of Nasir is unfair as fukk. Its a solid album, I gave it 4 mics. There’s not a bad song on the album, every single one is good, plus 3 of them are great with bonjour, everything and adam n eve. Flow was off a few times, but the lyrics were still top notch.

I like Nasir better than SD, Nastradamus and HipHop is dead.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Nas found out in 99/00

He mentioned it in 01

He subliminally dissed Jay starting in 99/00 bc of it
I clearly remember him and her saying that when Jay said what he said on Takeover. Nas spoke to her and asked her to tell him EVERYTHING that happened so he wouldnt get thrown off guard. They were subliminally dissing eachother since 99/00. But it wasnt for Carmen. Altho Jay himself used “Is That Your bytch” to diss Nas. Most people didnt know that shyt was about Nas at the time of release.

Is that your bytch came out a yr before Takeover

There were other tracks like Come & Get Me, Da Bridge 2001, Eye for an Eye freestyle

And Nas routinely included Carmen in his verses. The Nas verse in Sincerity was clearly referring to Carmen. That came out in 99 as well. Carmen was clearly at the center of the beef.
