Nas and his team probably power ranked his unreleased Def Jam music and released the strongest tracks but I want to know if Colors is completed. I want to know if The Season was actually meant for an album. I want to know if Distant Relatives had some unreleased music.

I'm also glad that Nas clarified the sessions from which the tracks are coming from.

... and despite what some people say, Nas' stretch from Untitled to the present was pretty damn good.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
The biggest surprise to me is that none of the Timbo tracks made it. I remember Nas describing these tracks as "powerful". Maybe Nas is saving it for his next album but it would be uncommon for a new LP to include 5+ year old songs.
I mean Jay put Ignorant shyt on American Gangster and that shyt was bout 4-5 years old at that point. Happens more than u think.

I'd bet money that Timbo and Nas had a falling out. If you remember, that Timbo snippet that came out a few years ago featured a verse that ended up on Echo last year. Timbo and Hov had a falling out over Timbo being a hot head (and alleged drug head)...I bet the same thing happened with Nas.

Notice Timbo out here working with c-tier rappers and has lost Tink. Now he's on IG working with Scott Storch lol. Something wrong...

A Nas track that I loved that I think was underrated and I truly think should've been on the ****** album is Legendary. I think Nas could've flipped it enough so that it could fit. all he had to say that in the end, the treated Mike Tyson like a ******. Whether he said it or not, Its a dope song about the champion in crazy ass Iron Mike.

Nah I fukks with Nasir hard. Not a classic though. Solid 4 Mics which is amazing considering the circumstances of its conception.

Nasir is better than both Streets Disciple (which is underrated as well) and Nastradamus so its FAR from his worst album.

I disagree respectfully. The highs on both SD and Nastradamus shyt on Nasir. Some of Nas most creative attempts are on those albums. Nasir is a cool album but nothing on it I would consider elite from Nas.

Thing is. With tracks like Legendary, Association, and Cops Keep Firing. Those were all included on the ****** Tape. Which was an OFFICIAL mixtape from Nas. Its his only official mixtape, so I doubt any if those songs would have been included on a Lost Tapes since they’ve already been “officially” released

No beef. Timbaland and Nas both explained that what they had come up with was crazy but Nas always changes his mind when it comes to his creative process. The way both of them talk about wanting to put out Sinatra In The Sands shows they are proud of the work that was done. But Nas isn’t and hasn’t ever really been a “one producer” type of MC. He gets inspiration from many different producers until he finds the sound he’s looking for. If you look at any Nas interview he’s done since HHID dropped he talks about wanting to “play around” with radio joints before ultimately settling on a less mainstream sound. This is how Nas works. The only “mainstream” producer we’ve seen him really hang tight with is Swizz Beats, and thats produced only TWO released songs (before LT2) in like 9 years.

I thought that too but at the echo video premier that swiss and nas did in New York Timbo was there. I bet that Sinatra in the Sands record is an album cut. It's no way a justin Timberlake Jay and nas song would go on a lost tapes.

It doesn't mean anything. They still follow each other on Instagram. Nas was very positive about Timbaland when Swizz asked him about the whole Swizz vs Timbaland battle. They've done shows and have even taken pictures. If there was real issues, it would've been spoken of.

Nas verses have appeared on other songs before most notably the song he did with Raekwon in 2009. Are made it a single even though parts of that verse was on Untitled.

The Timbaland tracks aren't the only songs that didn't make Lost Tapes 2. I guess Nas also had a falling out with Large Professor and The Beatminerz too because he has work with them too, but evidently those songs aren't on Lost Tapes either.

Nas isn't above putting years old songs on albums. "Cherry Wine" was finished in 2008, but didn't come out until 2012. "You're Da Man" was a song Nas sat on from the Nastradamus sessions.

I don't think the situations are comparable. Maybe they're cool, as you said. I'm just basing it on Timbo pulling a Kanye and falling out with Hov...maybe the same happened with Nas. Breh isn't getting noteworthy placements anymore, just seems like something is up. You guys made some other points that suggest you could be right, like Timbo being at the Echo vid premier (I didn't know that).
