Cause they come off as if they're tryna herb Nas as if Nas was dumb and they're elite. Nas comes from my generation. In high school you had band nikkas and athletes. In Hiphop you have producers and emcees.

CL Smooth said it best to Pete Rock "Make be a beat fakkit and shut the fukk up"

CL comes off as really big headed...

True. IWW is arguably lyrically better and sharper, as Kool G Rap once said, than anything Nas has ever done including Illmatic and The Lost Tapes but the Lost Tapes has IMO surpassed IWW in popularity. We all know the IWW is the album that made him a world wide star but Nas doesn’t seem to hold it in high esteem. According to Nas, THE LOST TAPES is a movement, but IWW can even get an anniversary re-release with some bonus tracks on there.

Which brings me to my next point, one that I started to post earlier but deleted.

Since it doesn’t seems like Nas is going any farther back than the Def Jam years for Lost Tapes (the longer he waits, the more outdated earlier material will sound), a really good way to put those walker shyts out would be re-releasing some his better, older albums with bonus content (unreleased, alternate version, extended versions and original studio remixes). By the time we get The Lost Tapes 3, Nas will have more shyt from the next album plus all at least all the well known unreleased shyt from the Def Jam years like The Season, Colors, Be a ****** Too, Snitch Alibi. Who the hell knows?
Nas def did hold IWW in high esteem. Atleast at one point. “IWW I flossed, one of the most creative LP’s ever to hit stores..”. shyt Jungle just recently said he likes IWW more than Illmatic.

I've felt like this for awhile. Nas isn't releasing an album full of 90s or early 00s material, that era is passed. However re-releasing past albums with additional tracks would make sense...especially in this streaming era. I'm sure Hov would love to get something like that on tidal exclusively lol. IWW with like 4 bonus tracks that didn't make the album. Or I Am with bonus tracks.

Most artists don't release their vaults. The only reason we're getting a glimpse into Prince's is because he died and no longer controls it.

Well I would like to see him show some love. Honestly, I copped Illmatic in 94 and I thought it was tight but it had to grow on me and it did in a big way. IWW touched me immediately and really made me appreciate Illmatic more. I am took me to an even higher level and the anticipation of Nastradamus was up there too but jumping into audiogalaxy and getting loads of Nas lost tapes is what took me over the top. As more and more Nas music came out, Illmatic continued to grow on me.

I must be in the minority that really fukks with the Nasir album. That shyt is classic to me.

Nah I fukks with Nasir hard. Not a classic though. Solid 4 Mics which is amazing considering the circumstances of its conception.

Nasir is better than both Streets Disciple (which is underrated as well) and Nastradamus so its FAR from his worst album.
