Agreed, having Jay on the album would be huge....but in the end, there are probably sample clearance issues.

What’s funny is how some of Just Blaze’s best material gets left off albums for this reason.

If Just Blaze was about the music, take all the unreleased tracks, fine tune/mix/master them and just throw it out there as a mixtape/indie compilation album.

I'm am happy AF that Jay Z is nowhere near this project. The Lost Tapes is Nas' movement and its another feather in his cap, second in his career only to Illmatic. I'm sure Nas would prefer that it be all about him. The first Lost Tapes was all about Nas with no features I think and hope and all of them should be. Deep down inside, I'm sure there is a least a part of Nas that ain't happy that Jay dropped the day after NASIR. So, in the immortal words of Ether, "fukk Jay Z"! LOL

On the real though, if they work together, put it on a Jay Z album next time.

Unless Jay and Nas have a personal issue on the low and this is why shyt like Tru Life and Swizz Beatz have songs with both of them on it but they won't come out.

Nas and Jay-Z have zero issues with one another besides friendly competition.

Nas has been on TWO Jay-Z albums. Jay-Z was on Nas’s debut Def Jam album. Nas JUST rocked with Jay at the B-Sides concert. Tru Life’s joint with Nas and Hov never dropped because tru life’s ALBUM never dropped. The Swizz Beats joint with Nas and Hov and X never dropped because Swizz didn’t put it on Poison.

True. IWW is arguably lyrically better and sharper, as Kool G Rap once said, than anything Nas has ever done including Illmatic and The Lost Tapes but the Lost Tapes has IMO surpassed IWW in popularity. We all know the IWW is the album that made him a world wide star but Nas doesn’t seem to hold it in high esteem. According to Nas, THE LOST TAPES is a movement, but IWW can even get an anniversary re-release with some bonus tracks on there.

Which brings me to my next point, one that I started to post earlier but deleted.

Since it doesn’t seems like Nas is going any farther back than the Def Jam years for Lost Tapes (the longer he waits, the more outdated earlier material will sound), a really good way to put those walker shyts out would be re-releasing some his better, older albums with bonus content (unreleased, alternate version, extended versions and original studio remixes). By the time we get The Lost Tapes 3, Nas will have more shyt from the next album plus all at least all the well known unreleased shyt from the Def Jam years like The Season, Colors, Be a ****** Too, Snitch Alibi. Who the hell knows?

Nobody knows. The last Nas spoke on it, he said it wasn't for Lost Tapes. J-Roc, who co-produced the song with Tim said it sounded like Vegas meets Mafia if that makes any sense. Timbaland last spoke on it last year and said he and Justin were listening to it.

I guess he's saving it for whatever album he drops next.
Sounds like some Deniro in Casino meets Rick ross production type glamorous shyt.

No and Nas will probably never work with 9th due to his big fukking mouth

Cause they come off as if they're tryna herb Nas as if Nas was dumb and they're elite. Nas comes from my generation. In high school you had band nikkas and athletes. In Hiphop you have producers and emcees.

CL Smooth said it best to Pete Rock "Make be a beat fakkit and shut the fukk up"
