Dahi co-producing on the Khalil track suggests it's either a newer track (2013-2016 era perhaps) or something from the 2008 sessions that was later reworked.

As a reminder, Dahi is one of Kendrick's best producers (Money Trees, Loyalty, Lust, XXX) and did Worst Behavior for Drake. He also worked on Dre's Compton album and did one of the better tracks on there (Deep Water). This Nas track could come from those Compton sessions, given that Dahi and Khalil worked together at the time.

I've felt like this for awhile. Nas isn't releasing an album full of 90s or early 00s material, that era is passed. However re-releasing past albums with additional tracks would make sense...especially in this streaming era. I'm sure Hov would love to get something like that on tidal exclusively lol. IWW with like 4 bonus tracks that didn't make the album. Or I Am with bonus tracks.

Most artists don't release their vaults. The only reason we're getting a glimpse into Prince's is because he died and no longer controls it.

Nas could re-release:

IWW and add:
Escobar Season Begins (Freestyle)
Silent Murder
Street Dreams (Extended Version)
Street Dreams (R. Kelly Remix)
Escobar 97
Understanding
True Dialect
Life is Like a Dice Game
One on One
De Ja Vu (if he can get the a good master)
Funkmaster Flex Freestyle
The Foulness Freestyle

I Am..Nastradamus (Double) Make it was it was intended to be or (since TLT uses some tracks) add the rest of the left overs as bonuses.

You Don't Know Me and/or Stay Alive
My Worst Enemy Is Me
Your Mouth Got You In It
Rise and Fall
When Thugs Die
Sometimes I Wonder
Stay Schemin'
Queen nikkas
Live From The Bridge
Tales From the Hood
Curse
Wanna Play Rough
Seeds of Heaven
Among Kings

Stillmatic

Your The Man (Extended)
Never Gonna Give it Up
The Flyest (w/Bravehearts)

God's Son

High
My Will
Two Seater

Nah I fukks with Nasir hard. Not a classic though. Solid 4 Mics which is amazing considering the circumstances of its conception.

Nasir is better than both Streets Disciple (which is underrated as well) and Nastradamus so its FAR from his worst album.
It’s hard for me to compare it to either of those albums. I guess since it’s only 7 songs. But I can MOST DEF choose 7 songs off Streets Disciple that blow the NASIR songs out of the water. And he has about 3 or 4 of those on Nastradamus that are leagues above anything on NASIR.

Streets disciple sonically just didn't do it for me. I feel like if it was cut down to one album it would have been better. Or if he took the route of having one producer produce one disc and another produce the other disc it would have been better. There are some dope records on that album too though.

To me, SD was good but not special.

SD is an album that has a rewritten history about it. When it dropped. It was prolly one of Nas’ most critically acclaimed albums. And yes. If it was one disc it wouldve been better and we wouldnt even be having this discussion. Especially if the tracks that didnt make the album.

Then add Serious ft AZ, Good Morning, and Foul Breeze. shyt wouldve been one of his best albums.

So who decides Nas final tracklist before it's pressed and released to the public? I think Nas catch a lot of heat for leaving his best work off the album but I don't think he decides his final tracklist

That's interesting. When did that shift happen and would you happen to know why?
