Brehs, this is a crazy example of how your opinion and taste for a song can change over time.

Jarreau of Rap is quickly becoming my favorite song on this album. Definitely my most played, just barely beating out Art of It, Lost Freestyle, and Tanasia.

The horns on the 3rd part of the song :ohlawd:

This song is really something special. I'm not even talking Nas's ability to ride the harmony with his delivery, which is ill enough in itself. But how they wove Al Jarreau's vocal samples in and out of the beat along with that trumpet by Keyon just has me :ahh: everytime I play this shyt.

I completely understand why this song ain't for everybody, but to those brehs who keep saying this track is an automatic skip, y'all missing out.

Let the track marinate a few times and appreciate the artistry of it. You'll be :lawd:soon enough.

The track is awesome. I admit, I was not feeling it at first... but it was mostly due to it being the opposite sound I was expecting for a Lost Tapes 2 single and it caught me off guard.

If it hadn’t been released as a “single” the song would have been better received in the context of the album. As a first offering, it sounds bizarre but when you really LISTEN you can appreciate the musicality and the fact that Nas raps PERFECTLY over the beat. There is no rapper alive, not even Jay-Z, who could kill that beat as effortlessly as Nas

Didn’t expect to learn anything really new and I didn’t lol l like how Nore kept it respectful! No need to bring up beefs from 20 years ago! Nore curved EFN when he brought up Nas dissing him.

One day that Cop sucking Thug’s D song gotta drop! Nore brought up Shappelle too who i thought was Blitz at one time but 2 different people. Nobody ever has info on Blitz. Always thought he was nice

Peace

Yall think nas going to release his official album before the lost tapes 3? It sounds like he has alot of bangers in the fault. This lost tapes 2 is too fire

My take ways from the recent Nas interviews:

I think the new Nas album is next but I also think the Lost Tapes 3 will be within the next 3 years. Te new joint will probably come out a year before a new studio album. From what I have gathered from these recent interviews is that Nas now likes to release in the summer and record in the winter. Its possible he may do more additional recording sessions this winter to add to and enhance this new album; which may result in even more new Lost Tapes.

The Lost Tapes 3 will have some features. Nas has said that each one of his Lost Tapes sounds different, which leads me to believe that he has them tentatively planned out. I bet these will also be Def jam era tracks with featured artists who relevant these days.

Sony era Lost Tapes won't start coming out possibly Lost Tapes 4 but definitely 5. I don't think he is saying that all the songs on TLT3 will be features but there will surely be some.
