@mobbinfms

its basically a modern day version of i used to love her

the personification of hiphop

now on nas first album he says

"nas is like your afrocentric asian"

TAN ASIA = afrocentric asian

this is a reference to original man

the name tanasia means = good news/a gift/blessing

as in i am (nas) giving yall a gift wen i rap and your welcome

if she not from Queensbridge (juice crew, nas, mobb deep) then she must be from asia (wutang)

the term asia on the song has multiple meanings and one of those is a nod to wutang without saying the groups name

its a nod to the LOUD days where wu and QB first met (1995)

the song is easy to follow. girls make duck faces online; tansia wears tims and eats duck.

he walks you through the different eras of hiphops exsistence and his struggle with it until now where he is legal and rich

Every man originated in Asia
One continent, Africa was a part of Asia :ahh:
:ehh:
Don’t know if I buy it, but that’s an interesting perspective.

Nas thinks Dave East is the truth :manny:
Yeah & when Nore asked Nas if East was the next Nas, he said he was just Dave East. Which means he ain’t shyt :mjlit:

That nikka don’t wanna give him the torch, he ain’t worthy :scust:

Thought it was interesting that he said the
person that reminds him of himself was
Lupe Fiasco. I didn't think he would answer that
question, the fact he answered it he thinks pretty highly
of him.
giphy.gif

Only five possible explanations:

  1. He misunderstood the question
  2. He’s never heard a Lupe Fiasco album
  3. There’s a set up to the question (I haven’t listened) “when you were making your albums that people consider the low points of your career....who reminds you of you”
  4. Nas has low self esteem.
  5. They are doing that show so Nas threw him a bone.

Nah he ain’t wanna put that type of expectation on the “young king” he learned from nikkas comparing him to Rakim in ‘92 :troll:

I think you misunderstood why Nas said he's the first Dave East.

Same way Papoose said he's the first Papoose when compared to Big L.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
so...i was never into Nas like that

i respect him and he got a few verses that are god tier to me...i just never really cared for his albums

ive actually bumped this joint a few times and im fukking with it :ehh:

but that could be because im not a fan and dont really have a standard when it comes to him :ld:

so im gonna go back and really dive into the discog.. i feel like ive heard those albums but i aint really sat with them like ive done ones that have become my favorites

i might really fukk with dude and dont know it :jbhmm:

I'm a nas stan since 96 and even with my standard for his projects (been let down for most of his albums in the 2 thousands, sans Lost Tapes and Stillmatic)… but I still ride hard for him based off what he did in the 90's.

Given the fact that you aren't familiar with his LP's... you're in for a fukkin' treat.

Shiit… you may even enjoy, Nastradamus, God's Son and Streets Disciple.

:shrugslikeYe:

p.s.

Nas releasing this LT2 project really makes me proud being a hip hop head.

Good shiit Esco.
