NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I need to know what Salaam Remi tracks warrant him being shytted on so much. Even if its “Zone Out” (felt out of place on the album but the beat is unique in a good way)
Salaam Remi is dope and has given alot of dope shyt to Nas and outside of Nas. Dude is a hitmaker. Most recent banger I can think of is How Many Drinks by Miguel.

For my collection, I attempted to collect the version of his albums that had the most songs on it so I have the first Stillmatic with Braveheart Party, Everybody’s Crazy and No Ideas Original but I didn’t know they had a version with Black Zombies.

I have IWW with Silent Murder

HHID with Where Y’all at and The N

I Am with Nature Shines

There is a version of SD with an interesting remix of Thief’s Theme.

I have Nastradamus with Hate me know w/Afros and the Circuit City version with Hustlers and Killers bonus disc.

God’s Son with p*ssy Kills and other bonus on one disc.

I miss those Japanese imports.

I had some of those bonus versions too, back in high school, the Stillmatic one, and the God's Son with bonus disc

Thugz Mirror (classic Nas)
p*ssy Killz

and The G.O.D right? I lost all my cd's and had to buy them back, year by year, so I just have the normal editions now.

The G.O.D. was terrible lol

I liked p*ssy Kills, but it doesn't really play well now, and was always a little awkward and limited, in terms of Nas great storytelling moments. Good twist ending, if I remember correctly.

This was largely unlistenable in 2002

Basically hes not Primo or whoever is the beloved boom bap/soul producer people wish Nas would work again with and they keep seeing Salaam's name so they blame him.
When in reality he probably was the one consistent producer for him for a long stretch and they got a great chemistry. One of the cooler things is seeing him work with other guys recently like Black Thought and get his props

@prophecypro

Yeah, but that wasn't hot lol but I feel you

Nas had a run with Swizz, and some pretty bad/generic tracks in 2001, The General was one, and I think his on the 8 Mile SDTK was too. Just terrible beats and song concepts
