Salaam produced some of Nas's best work:

Made You Look
Get Down
Street's Disciple
War
Nazareth's Savage
Thief's Theme
You Can't Stop Us
Queen's Story
Bye Baby
Black Bond
Nasty

Plus What Goes Around, Cherry Wine, Like Smoke, MC Burial, Talk of NY, A Message to the Feds,!etc.

I feel like Salaam got a lot of hate solely for Zone Out, but his good joints easily outweigh the bad

I know people were saying that "World's An Addiction" was a low point on Life Is Good, but I always liked that song. People say it's over the top, but it reminds me of "What Goes Around". Even though, its drumless, Anthony Hamilton does his thing and Nas kills it.
World’s An Addiction sounds like Nas tryna do an impression of a Kanye song

It’s aight but when you had cuts like Trust & Where’s The Love reserved for bonus tracks, it sounds out of place.

Summer on Smash is pure trash lol

If he put a video out for it and released it as a single I can understand but he didn’t so he made no sense being on the album...

That song disturbs the flow of the album as does "The Don" (not a bad song), but the transition into it is off. Removing "The Don" and "Summer On Smash" and replacing them with "Trust", "Where's The Love" or "Roses" makes it flow smoother.

To me, Nasty and the Don should’ve been bonus tracks. They served their purpose being early street singles, ahead of the album. I would’ve put them on as bonus tracks and added Trust, Where is the Love and Roses.

Kanye could never pull off a song like "World's An Addiction".
It sounds like a My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy cut featuring Nas.

I’ve heard people accuse One Mic of being melodramatic, but nah that song is classic. “World’s An Addiction” was lyrically insane, but musically that shyt was melodramatic af :pachaha:

As far as I'm concerned, "Nasty", "The Black Bond", "Roses" and "Where's the Love" ARE on the album. All this talk about replacing "Summer on Smash" with one or these "bonus tracks" makes no sense to me. I have only heard the 18-track deluxe version of Life is Good. When the album was about to drop they asked Nas how many songs are on the LP and he said "18 tracks". When asked which song fans should be excited about, he said "The Black Bond". He obviously considers the deluxe version to be the actual album.

It doesn't sound like that to me. Yeah, it has an orchestral sound, but so did other Salaam songs on LIG. It doesn't sound over produced.

I agree. All I'm saying is in terms of the flow of the album, "Summer On Smash" and "The Don" don't flow as well as the bonus songs would've. More so an observation than it is a complaint.

The only track I said to replace Summer On Smash with is Trust because that is literally ONLY on the digital ITunes/Apple Music version of the album. I have the Deluxe physical and the ITunes version. Purchased both.

I copped it the firsr day as well. Same for Jesus Piece.

Even when WTT delayed the deluxe edition I bought it after buying the original.

I will always opt for a deluxe edition over a standard edition as so long the bonus material is songs from the artist.
