Bro noNas flows perfectly.
How can you listen to It Was Written and say Nas is flowing perfectly here?
Bro noNas flows perfectly.
What did Rosenberg say about it?
For any avid listener of Nas this is apparentDoes anybody else think his flow/delivery is a little off on some songs?
Go see an otolaryngologistBig nas fan but this aint it. Might be his worst album. The beats and production are mediocre and sound like kanye put it together in a week. No excuse when you only got 7 tracks. Not for radio and adam and eve are the standouts imo. "everything" is typical over produced kanye half singing trash. not sure what yall see in that track. Nas vocals dont even start until 2 minutes into it and the beat does nothing. I wanna like cops shot the kid but they didnt flip the sample well cause its too short of a loop. Slick ricks vocals repeating through the whole track was a terrible decision cause its distracting. Should have just been the hook.
Anyone who says It Was Written is not a classic doesn't know shyt and opinion is void...Basically said that this Nasir album is good but it’s the same reason he doesn’t think it was written is a classic. On twitter he other day he said Nas only has one classic album, he said OutKast has 5 classics and Jay-Z has 4-5?
All facts!!Nas himself has said hes the most crucified artist in the game so he is well aware of his critics.
If you ask me its because for so many years Nas didn’t play the “game” and he also had no problems letting certain people known how he felt about them if he was pissed off. Remember back when Hot 97 was THE hotbed of the culture Nas shytted on both Flex and Angie in the WORST way.
He dissed straight up dismissed Angie trying to be an artist and told the world that Flex was a corny hanger on. He called Cam’ron’s album wack. He told Beanie Sigel that he needed a stern talking to and a handshake. He refused to work with Jay on Reasonable Doubt or Volume 1 while Jay was giving him props and calling him one of the best MC’s. He had friendly competition with Biggie. He straight up dissed Puff. He dissed Nore. He dissed Prodigy. He dissed 50 Cent. He posed on the cover of XXL holding a burning Source cover.
Nas wasn’t in the business to make friends lol. His only true aliances were Jungle and The Bravehearts (and sometimes Mobb Deep) he came and went as he pleased. He didn’t allow so called Hip Hop purists to dictate his sound and made bigger, commercially succesful projects, while STILL retaining a lowkey demeanor.
Nas wasn’t gonna make a yuppie nikka like Elliot Wilson feel special. He wasn’t going to give him special access or exclusive interviews or play the “game” like Jay and others did. He let the music speak for itself. Hell i remember when Hot 97 was suppsedly blacklisting Nas music and STILL was forced to play Made You Look because it was buzzing so hard.
Alot of these faggit ass white boys is fans of Illmatic. NOT Nas.Rosenberg can’t be listened to when it comes to Nas. I’ve always felt like he doesn’t really listen to him. He’s basically the same as Vlad when it comes to him. I saw him tweet a few days ago that Kanye has 3 or 4 classics and Nas has 1. That alone takes his credibility away from discussing Nas
Album is cool. But definitely not an album worthy of a 6 year wait. Let's be real. Music isn't nas's number 1 venture anymore. When he was poor he had all the time in the world to sit around writing rhymes. Dude is making 175k a month with 8mil in the bank account. Writing rhymes is prolly the last shyt on his mind. Nas will never drop another great album again.
I think his affiliation with kanye on this album is clouding his judgmentSmh.
I thought he was a Nas stan. I remember him saying, "Em is the biggest (sales), Jay is the greatest (accomplishments) but Nas is the best."
Nas has always has an unorthodox flow. But sometimes people say he is off beat when i think that's just his flow in generalBro no
How can you listen to It Was Written and say Nas is flowing perfectly here?
I'd add The Lost Tapes in there tooAnyone who says It Was Written is not a classic doesn't know shyt and opinion is void...
Nas got three certified indisputable classics...
Illmatic
It was Written
Stillmatic
People have said this about Nas on every single album that I've seen discussed. I don't really hear it though, he doesn't sound off.Nas has always has an unorthodox flow. But sometimes people say he is off beat when i think that's just his flow in general
I’m glad everyone is seeing what I’ve been seeing since the album dropped. I’ve been seeing a lot of people say they love the album, which is great too see. Me personally i can play every song all the way through with no problem. It just kills me when i read people like Rosenberg and other media personalities say negative stuff about the project when it’s not from a genuine opinion.
