Got the email that my colored vinyl is shipping. I caught a case of the shingles so I'll be playing it heavy again.
He fit fine over You Won’t See Me Tonight and You Owe Me.That's still just one song/remix though. Two brief snippets don't tell us much. Nas was great on Hot Boyz and while I'd love to hear whatever Nas did with Timbo a few years ago, I don't really think Timbo's drums/percussion fit Nas as a rapper. That shyt fits Jay better in terms of tempo and how dynamic they are.
Honestly I'd rather hear Nas over some of this recent Kanye shyt than Timbo or Pharrell.
Nas is underrated when it comes to his R&B features. He has always crushed them. That old joint with Allure. Low key one of Nas strengths.
That magic shirt is hard. Just bought a KD2 shirt
My vinyl arrived yesterday
Let me know how much better it sounds in vinyl. I’ve never heard a rap album in vinyl.Got my colored vinyl today!!!
Happy for my favorite emceeThis really puts the last couple of years of Nas's career in perspective, kinda incredible when you think about it
Crazy how different all three of these projects were
Crazy thing I don’t even have a record player yet. I’ve just been collecting them until I buy a house and I have more space for a record player.Let me know how much better it sounds in vinyl. I’ve never heard a rap album in vinyl.
It was nice seeing IWW get love on Twitter yesterday for the 26th anniversary of its release.I’ve noticed a shift on social media, YouTube etc… in the Nas love. It’s like he is finally getting some of the appreciation he has always deserved. Even the younger generation on YouTube is like yea he is the goat when they sit back and listen to him. Also when a narrative tries to get pushed these days Nas fans hold him down.
That’s facts. People have come around. These last 3 albums being successful in the social media age has shifted a lot narratives. It was nice seeing IWW get love on Twitter yesterday for the 26th anniversary of its release.
