Nah y’all lookin funny in the light. Show me your ID ngga. How old was you when Illmatic dropped, when Stillmatic dropped. If Magic is peak level Nas to you, you either a little ngga or just dikkriding to look the part of ‘hip hop head’. Actin like them 40 degree day songs are I gave you power knock it off
Not sure if you lurked before joining but Let me help you out and maybe save you some time. you're basically on a Nas forum IN a Nas thread, you can figure out the rest

That said it's all opinions. "The Truth" is probably one of the better Nas tracks and hooks in recent memory

you put "wu 4 the children" in the the elite category and personally I really dislike that track and any track like it, "got to be a special this, got to be a special that" F.O.H

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
The quality on my illmatic orchestra edition is solid. That’s crazy that the tracklist is out of on IWW. I’ll have to check and see if mine is out of order. I have the 25 year anniversary edition.
Yeah, I actually have a couple copies including the 25th and both tracklists are out of order

‘It’s all opinions’…’the truth is one of the better Nas tracks in years’. That’s the type of matter of fact comment I’ll keep pointing out.

Both online and irl if a ngga told me he didnt like a track I do like, the MOST I’d say is ‘damn bro you ain’t like that joint?’ and keep it movin. Anything more, is weirdo behavior. Last I checked its an album discussion thread, not a dikkeating contest.

I’ve never been a Neptunes fan. Liked and loved some of their stuff but overall the synths just weren’t my thing, so I didn’t want to hear Nas work with them again. But the Pharrell track on Lost Tapes 2 was dope, and this year P’s beats on the new Pusha and Kdot albums are really dope. I can def imagine him giving Nas something dope.

Yea, he did. The irony is Pharrell produced on push and kendrick albums, and he gave you shyt like this

Yes, ngga, those Magic tracks are just ‘ok’. Fym. It ain’t even so much Nas vs pusha it’s PHARRELL (and Kanye) vs Hitboy. Hitboy dope but his arms ain’t long enough. Not on Magic. Too many ‘aight’ beats/tracks

The Neptunes are among my favorite producers ever of any genre. Still, I'd take "Speechless", "The Truth" and "Dedicated" over those beats especially "Mr. Morale".

I would welcome more Nas/Pharrell tracks, however, this wouldn't have been a bad idea:

However, it needs to be the songs Nas did with Timbaland back in 2012-2015 with some new Pharrell.

If he hops in the studio with Pharrell, somebody better remind him that we are waiting on a Push/Esco collab

Yea I fw speechless and dedicated. It’s perfect for Nas.

I’m not sure what a Nas-Timbo collab would sound like rn. Timbo is hit or miss even with someone like Jay z. Same with Dre. Pharrell is the 1 producer I’d have confidence can adapt to any rappers style.

I believe the most recent Nas-Timbo collab was on magna carta.

Nah, Pharrell produced "BBC" and that was one of the worst songs on MCHG. Pharrell is more miss than hit with Jay than Timbo. Jay Z has more classic, legndary songs with Timbo than he dors Pharrell.

The most recent Timbo produced Nas song was Missy's "Hot Boyz" remix. Nas & Timbo >>>> Nas and Pharrell. All that exists of a recent Timbaland produced Nas song are these:

Some strong logic here. Pharrell produced the worst song on Magna Carta (which isn’t true, but ok)…Meanwhile Timbaland produced practically all of Magna Carta. You tell me which is worse

Also Timbo produced Ghetto Techno. What we even talking bout

Those 2 snippets are ‘good Timbo’ tho

I didn't say "BBC" was the worst, but it definitely wad one of the worst. I was clarifying that Timbaland didn't produce that song, Pharrell did. All of MCHG isn't bad. There are some dope Timbaland production on that album.

"Ghetto Techno" NEVER made an album for the 1 millionth time. It's an unreleased song.

The Jay Z/Timbaland connect still has more legendary tracks than the Jay Z/Pharrell tandem.

That's still just one song/remix though. Two brief snippets don't tell us much. Nas was great on Hot Boyz and while I'd love to hear whatever Nas did with Timbo a few years ago, I don't really think Timbo's drums/percussion fit Nas as a rapper. That shyt fits Jay better in terms of tempo and how dynamic they are.

Honestly I'd rather hear Nas over some of this recent Kanye shyt than Timbo or Pharrell.

Nas could definitely fit Timbaland's drums/percussions. Many said the same about HitBoy, but they've made a good album in KD1 and two back to back great albums in KD2 and Magic.

Either way, I don't really see Nas having production outside of HitBoy due to the zone they've been in unless it's a Lost Tapes project.

With Kanye, that whole experiment with Nasir was one of Nas's worst albums IMO. Kanye doesn't seem to really go in unless it's Push. Daytona had the best of Kanye out of those Wyoming albums. Push's new album has the best Kanye production since Daytona.
