While I wouldn’t mind Nas working with another producer and hit boy isn’t my absolute favorite the fact that Nas with hit boy had made 4 straight dope albums 30 years in which is unprecedented is fine by me.

Everything with Nas has to come with a BUT.

Yeah it’s a dope album BUT it would be even better if he worked with blah blah

We can play that game forever and with anyone how about just enjoying the fact that amazingly 30 years in hes still somehow dropping good music
This is facts.

Whether it's for Magic 2 or KD4 later on, I would love to have 5 or 6 videos ready to drop within the 1-4 weeks after the album drops, like Hit did for his pops, and not 2-6 months after the album release like Nas does usually.. That's one of the major flaws his marketing team has had thru the years. Never understood the point of dropping a video so far after the release, this ain't the 90s no more, attention span of 90% of listeners only lasts a few days/weeks then they move on...

I think RARE came out really on perfect time, but for example, Michael & Quincy as well. But 30 dropping 3-4 months later was just too fukking late. Such an album deserved 5 or 6 videos, all within a few weeks. And I don't think Big Hit's videos cost that much. It's just in this era you need visuals, but you can still remain plain & simple, nothing too fancy, as long as it looks authentic, it'll work. Just look at Hit+Alchemist vid..
Yea it was dope how rare dropped the night of release. I think dropping a little a mini documentary of them studio sessions, the MSG show, behind the scenes things would be a dope lead up to the album. But we will see what they came up with.

Oh BTW, weren't we supposed to get a documentary about the previous KD installments? Was that ever officially confirmed?

I don’t think it was officially confirmed but hits videographer posted something with hit and Nas on IG with the hashtag documentary. I think that was sometime around kd3

Last Nas/Alc songs were "It Never Ends" of LT2 (2019) and "Glorious" with Cormega on Realnesss II. Those are good and would probably fit on any of the HB albums, but pace of work, scheduling, and sample clearances are probably preventing Alc from locking in with Nas like HB right now.

Sometimes you just have to wait for the right time, but for now HB is making excellent music with Nas, so no need to put anything on hold.

Speaking of Alchemist. He’s one of the reasons I ended up getting wit my oldest son’s mother. I can’t tell u if that’s a good or a bad thing at this point but still. lol. We connected even more in conversation speaking on Alchemist produced joints back then.

this is hilarious! i can imagine the convos in trying to link with her- you on some nah alchemist was nicer with the sample chopping in his early mobb days and she on some nah i like his drumless more loop heavy style now :russ:let's go out and get something to eat and post up somewhere and compare alchemist beat eras.

Nah it wasn’t that technical. lol. She was just feeling Alchemist production crazy and I was surprised she even cared who knew the producers of certain tracks were especially someone like Alchemist. So we would just talk about our fav joints he did up until that point. It was that and some intellectual shyt. It wasn’t ur typical convo u would have with women at the time so we connected off that.
