I don’t like that video at all for the most part. shyt could’ve really been some organic NYC shyt but it fell kinda flat imo. No way is it one of best. I even like 27 summers video better.

I’m talking about Spicy. Rare was dope.I love that video, the whole playing chess by yourself "You are your only opponent" part really resonated with me
They had enough people it’s just that they did too much. It was too glossy imo. Unneeded special effects etc. Video shoulda been lit. They were on the right track with the outside scenes but the energy wasn’t there. I blame it on the pandemic.
When IWW and Stillmatic dropped people said they couldn’t touch illmatic. When Lost Tapes dropped people said it wasn’t a real album. When God Son dropped they said it wasn’t touching Stillmatic.
People always come up with reasons not to acknowledge new greatness by comparing it to his old classics.
But KD3 feels special. It definitely gave me those feelings where you know you are listening to something great. Same feelings I got off Stillmatic and gods son. It’s that feeling where there is nothing else in the world like this. It’s that once in a lifetime shyt.
That song as a whole... sucked. (2 me)They had enough people it’s just that they did too much. It was too glossy imo. Unneeded special effects etc. Video shoulda been lit.
The beat and song were fine. The video want even like a drill video. It was too much. It wasn’t lit enough and was too shiny. shyt should’ve shown people dancin, poppin bottles, gettin lit. shyt should’ve been some hood fun. It just wasn’t.That song as a whole... sucked. (2 me)
The creative liberties in the video was dope but lets not sit here and act like that was a grimy beat.. Mayb if Havoc made it it would have been. That video was supposed tobe a drill, asap, crossover single. But the bars from NaS atleast were cringe.... and the beat needed a facelift.
Rare however was a CLASSIC NaS single video execution was perfect as well.
I'm confused how somethins is badly it yet shiny....The beat and song were fine. The video want even like a drill video. It was too much. It wasn’t lit enough and was too shiny. shyt should’ve shown people dancin, poppin bottles, gettin lit. shyt should’ve been some hood fun. It just wasn’t.
I never hated "The cross" like everybody else did. That shyt was fire to me from day 1.....people just hated cause it was an Eminem beat. And Nas murdered that shyt. But regardless. Even if you wanna bring up God Son's lows. Then you gotta admit nothing on KD3 Is fukking with God Son's highs. And to me that's what really matters.
The first time you heard Book of Rhymes that shyt shook you to your soul. It was legendary the moment the beat dropped. God Son had plenty of those moments. And kd3 simply doesn't. You always remember the legendary shyt over anything.
