Yeah i love how they broke it down

Also in the other video review i posted, i like how they noticed that Nas is confident enough to let his guest shine on their features, how Eminem and Lauryn get the last verses and the beat switches/breaks etc.. Obviously it emphasizes their verses, and i don't see too many other rappers would do this, they'd usually secure their place to get the most shine. Nas does the opposite and that's real humble

Noticed this too very dope. Kendrick did the same for Rhapsody on TPAB with Complexion. Her verse completely stole the show and might be my favorite off that album.

Was wondering, if you had to judge instrumentals only (and not necessarily how it meshes with Nas or not), what are your top 5 beats on there?

And how do they compare with the best stuff out there? (i don't listen to a lot of other current shyt)

No she didn’t and she didn’t as an adult either until she met him I know this personally.

You’ve said this before that Nicki was quite dismissive of Nas when she first got on. What changed to the point where she had him in her video as a love interest and was actually dating him for awhile? Every time she speaks about Nas she talks extremely highly of him so i’m curious about that

Bro I have no idea. I had a few arguments with her over Nas and she would bring up Jay n shyt like that. I haven’t spoken to her since she blew up so my guess would be that he wasn’t what she thought he would be when she met him. I don’t think she hated Nas but she had this idea that he was just some intellectual while Jay was the one with swag. Not realizing in real life Nas is a street nikka at his core and Jay is the one who’s a lil more standoffish.

This is becoming very :gurl:but Iggy Azalea said this exact thing years ago when those pics of her and Nas popped up. She said she was completely surprised by how down to earth he was.

Our GOAT just having fun out there :ahh:

I think the beats fit what Nas, and Hitboy, were trying
to do with Nas sound today. So it's different than a lot
of the stuff that is out right now.

i think the fact that Hitboy doesnt have a signature sound to his production like say Premo helps him craft tracks to suit the mood and concepts of the songs Nas developes more. His range of sound is more broader. its the same no barrier platform that other Nas producers have had in the past (Salaam, LES).
Hitboy seems to be on Rare form. :wow:.
