So Nas is talking about Nicki, right? I know it was pretty public that she used to like Nas when she was a shortie.

I also felt he was referring to Nicki in "Adam and Eve" when he said they just fukked him to get him under they belt but fukk it, he enjoyed the fruit.

lol, I'm sure both those lines apply to a lot of women in Nas' life/DMs

Some good discussions in both these reviews. Kinda long to watch fully but if you got some time... U'll probably enjoy

The Nobody review might be the best take on that song. Nas is rapping from the perspective of someone searching for an inner peace and escape from the industry...whereas Lauren's verse is from the perspective of someone who has found that peace and escape. Crazy.

Crazy juxtaposition that I noticed.

Kings Disease 1 is a perfect NIGHT album. Songs like Kings Disease, Blue Benz, Car 85, Full Circle, and The Cure are joints that go hard in the whip after a long day of work or just cruising the city with a chick.

In contrast. Kings Disease 2 is an excellent DAY album. Songs like The Pressure, Death Row East, Store Run, and Composure all go hard when your working out, lifting weights, jogging in the sunshine, or performing mostly daytime activities.

I don’t know if Hit Boy and Nas specifically set out to accomplish that duality but its pretty cool

King’s Disease 3 will have to be some TWILIGHT type of album then :wow:

No she didn’t and she didn’t as an adult either until she met him I know this personally.

Yeah i love how they broke it down

Also in the other video review i posted, i like how they noticed that Nas is confident enough to let his guest shine on their features, how Eminem and Lauryn get the last verses and the beat switches/breaks etc.. Obviously it emphasizes their verses, and i don't see too many other rappers would do this, they'd usually secure their place to get the most shine. Nas does the opposite and that's real humble

Was wondering, if you had to judge instrumentals only (and not necessarily how it meshes with Nas or not), what are your top 5 beats on there?

And how do they compare with the best stuff out there? (i don't listen to a lot of other current shyt)
