Around my way Quiet Storm is a block of 70s to contemporary r&b that plays late night on the radio.

Welcome to WHUR 96.3, home of the Quiet Storm! Sounds like Washington!

(cue rolling thunderstorm sound effect)

And KD1 is a superior, more listenable and enjoyable album to me than KD2. What y'all like you like, I just don't believe in Stanish Cult like shyt. Like muthafukkas y'all grown :russ:

So anybody who like KD2 more (which is the vast majority of people out there) is a Stan and cultish? Bruh gtfo here.

That's fine if you like KD1 more, no problem with that. But there are objective reasons why KD2 surpasses KD1 and its not even close

Nas is one of the all time greats at story telling in Hip Hop.
He does it in such a way that sometimes we can't see it, or
take it for granted. And when Hitboy crafts the beats around
his story telling it is something special.
The little beat changes make it a story within a story at times.
And I'm not even going to get into the flow patterns used in
this album.
Count Me In:ahh:

How is My Bible so low in streams all the other songs above 1 mil or close to 1 mil and this sitting at 800k :gucci:

Just how streaming works. Unless it's a single the final tracks on albums have less streams. Sequence wise labels want to front load an album with a big track because if it's a hit you kind of double dip because anyone who listens to the album for the first time will automatically hear it plus people who love it will play it multiple times.

Think about how DNA off DAMN debuted in the top 10 when the album dropped, or Nonstop off Scorpion did crazy numbers too.

With you, I kept it on some humble shyt
Damn, I guess you haven't noticed how I always been devoted
Even when you disrobin', late nights still get the coldest
Interviews, I been misquoted
But you bein' bad is just a bonus, look how beautiful your soul is
This shyt feels like a high school crush (Think we in love)

I used to be her high school crush
She woke up in a fuss and asked me, "Why did I hide her toothbrush"
If I was honest, it'd be too much
Quiet storm on the radio puttin' me in the zone
I got questions in my text, "When am I comin' home?"
You laid up in my Supreme tee, you love my Tuscan cologne
I be excited to see you like I just didn't leave you (Ooh-wee, yeah)

So Nas is talking about Nicki, right? I know it was pretty public that she used to like Nas when she was a shortie.

I also felt he was referring to Nicki in "Adam and Eve" when he said they just fukked him to get him under they belt but fukk it, he enjoyed the fruit.

They wanna fukk me, have me under they belt, slightly offended
Yeah, that's how I felt, that's how it ended
I'm just good at existin', existin' in my truth
As long as I enjoy the fruit, yeah
