If Nas does a tour who do you guys think would fit? If he decides to go out with new-ish and/or non-legend artists I'd def love a tour with Run The Jewels and Benny. Benny opening, then RTJ, then Nas. That would be a dope mixture of different types of fans and energy, plus it would be hilarious seeing someone's 50yo mom who came to see Nas witness a mosh pit and then say "aite I'll be back when Nas hits the stage" lol.

Was wondering, if you had to judge instrumentals only (and not necessarily how it meshes with Nas or not), what are your top 5 beats on there?

And how do they compare with the best stuff out there? (i don't listen to a lot of other current shyt)

Nobody
Count Me In
Rare
DRE
The Pressure

That's honestly a good line up especially since he already has a relationship with those guys. I think he could also just run it back with Lauren Hill. Yeah, it's been done before, but it would hit different after KD2.

Also, both Mega and AZ are supposedly dropping albums this year too. That would be dope.

Bro I have no idea. I had a few arguments with her over Nas and she would bring up Jay n shyt like that. I haven’t spoken to her since she blew up so my guess would be that he wasn’t what she thought he would be when she met him. I don’t think she hated Nas but she had this idea that he was just some intellectual while Jay was the one with swag. Not realizing in real life Nas is a street nikka at his core and Jay is the one who’s a lil more standoffish.

It’s funny too because I’ve noticed that shyt during their BC interviews

Even though Nas’ interview was during the height of the pandemic (as you can see), he still carried himself like he was sitting in the studio with all three of them full of confidence and a chill demeanor kickin’ some shyt.

Jay on the other hand just seemed like he was there just for a quick check-in and looked like he didn’t even wanna be there. His tone and energy is a lot more reserved and subdued than what you’d normally expect from him based on how he carries himself on record and on stage.

Nas usually tours solo unless he’s co-headlining with a fellow legend like Lauryn Hill, Mary J Blidge or Erykah Badu.

I think given that, it would be appropriate for Nas and Lauryn Hill to run it back and go on tour again. They have a fresh song they can perform (Nobody) and Lauryn’s verse single handedly has relit interest in her so its a win/win

Thats why one gotta respect his craft.. Hit on both KD1 and KD2 never gave the same formula but the same dopeness to his sound.
Somehow it gives me comfort that he can go whatever direction and still pull it off.
Why reach out to Pete/ Qtip when u can make a track like Nobody with HitBoy, Why go to Kanye when u can make a track like Nas Is Good
Even Death Roe East gave us a more modern WCoast sound. I wont even talk about Rare

I like the gritty NY Sound, im super fan to Premo, NoID, Alchemist, Havoc, Large Pro.
But what HB and Nas have done on the Last two albums is specials, It kinda give direction to Nas's Growth as an artist and personal maturity that kicked off
from LIG.
Bruh you are right. Hitboy can do it all foreal. He is versatile producer that works with Nas

I wish they could record an album, even if it was an EP with 5 or so songs.

Nah, we dont need negative press of Lauryn being 3 hours late to overshadow this album. Bring her out as a special guest for the NY dates only.

Right now I got

1. Nas - King's Disease II
2. Mach Hommy - Pray For Haiti
3. Tyler The Creator - Call Me When You Get Lost
4. DJ Muggs & Rome Streetz - Death & The Magician
5. J Cole - The Off Season

(Haven't listened to the new Boldy/Alchemist or Ka albums yet)

I've had Mach Hommy in my phone for months. I need to find time today
