My issue with the reviews is if it were Kings Disease 2 produced by Kanye West then these same publications (HHDX)would rate it higher. If Jayz rapped over these collection of beats, it would be marveled by pitchfork. What does Nas have to do to drop a universal critically acclaimed album?
Pretty much not be Nas is the only way. People love to hate him. Especially publications. Pretty weird dynamic.

And this is why I could care less about what a critic says.
Seeing the younger generation get the wisdom he is trying
to spit means more to me.

This is the album that cured y'all insecurities

Nas Stans always felt that Jay Z and his fans had over Nas and his fans that he not on Jay Z level financially, he don't have all that shyt he raps about as Nas Escobar, he made bad business decisions, he was bankrupt, he was in debt. Yeah Nas beat Jay Z with Ether, but Jay fans be like yeah but he ain't billy, he lost his money smartened up Nas. Now they can't say it no more he making millions In investment, now he can talk that money shyt now and Jay fans can't say shyt, he's silicone Nas he's rubbing shoulders with billionaires also.

Nas Stans always said they don't give a fukk about having universal critical acclaim album, they only give to their favorite artist like Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West and even Jay Z album 4:44 is critically acclaimed, the CAC's and Nerdy Blacks music critic's didn't recognize Life is Good, but we don't give a fukk about their accolades, man shut the fukk up y'all always did and y'all wanted a Nas album that join the ranks of the rare hip hop critically acclaimed album. Now look it here y'all went from not giving a fukk to checking every music ratings, and so damn excited it's happening, this is what y'all want and feel he deserves to be up there with The Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar and y'all finally going to get one

fukk the Grammys they don't know hip hop, won the Grammys we got one celebration bytches yo Jay Z you don't have Grammy for hip hop album of the year

Tupac Shakur the ICON the Legend Universally Acknowledge as the Greatest EMCEE ever went at the whole coast, went and destroyed Biggie, Dissed Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Nas, one man Tupac against their Kings and lit they asses up, and still showed his face in NY, still got love in NY these nikkas is not on Pac level. Pac is dead and dead man tell no tales 25 years later after 2pac death Nas got something to say on Wax and let me tell them that this is my City you knew I was coming and yeah Jungle let him know it on when we get outside. Nas came hard on the album let everyone know New York is mine you ain't coming here like that and I faced off with 2pac, not Jay Z, Not Biggie. I wasn't scared, I'm 2pac Equal. Nas wanted everyone to know and Nas Stans yes that's right, 2pac ain't the boogey Man of NY, he didn't punk NY, Nas held us down. And that's a W we got a win in that column, so Pac fans y'all can finally shut up. Nas beat his chest I'm 2pac equal and we didn't bow down and coward like Jay Z and Biggie Nas the true King Of NY. Biggie fans can't say shyt, Jay-Z fans can't say shyt. Hey Pac fans we are equals

This is Nas album is what y'all always wanted from Nas, y'all didn't like the Humble Nas, this Nas and KD2 album to y'all Nas Stans is what y'all dreamed off and y'all loved it and defended to death, the musical accolades and all the other shyt I listed

When us Nas fans is the fan's who stans pretend to be, we don't give a fukk about those things that y'all wanted so badly, we know who Nas is

Nas answered back to his critic's and what haunted him all those year's and you crazy ass fans got what y'all always wanted in my Jay Z voice The Love

When did Nas went near bankrupt?? Dont talk about house foreclosure as that...:manny:

IIRC he was pretty rich broke/cash poor around Distant Relatives and Life Is Good. Did a lot of alluding to it especially on Distant Relatives in regards to the divorce and his issues at the time.

But anyone with a plan that has access in certain rooms that having a million doors gets you into (as said on the JBP back then) gives you ample space to bounce bacc. Hence him getting out of prior contracts, opening businesses and making smart investments on the ground level.

Lol bruh you going overboard with this Nas Stan/beating his chest shyt..

I honestly don't care what Nas brags about or what random publications say about his albums...

As long as the beats are bumping, his flow is sharp, he sounds comfortable, and has a balance of subject matter.

And thats what we got with KD2, on a MUCH HIGHER level than on KD1. This is coming from someone who doesn't have KD2 in my top 6 Nas albums.

I prefer the old storytelling, heavy concept tracks, but this album and new style is better than anything we should expect from Nas this deep in his career.

Respect to the GOAT
