Case in point The hip hop heads at Okayplayer forums majority prefer KD1 over KD2 and those posters are around my age, they are an old head hip hop forum. We from a different era 88-96 and we listened to great hip hop and we have a different ear

this would be weird considering many naysayers of KD1 said it lacked "bars" while the heads on Okay (I browsed it back in the early to mid-2000s and they were into the roots, little brother, monch, mos def, talib etc..)
were the types looking for "bars"

Theres no way to go factually say that and its the mindframe like that that makes Nas fans/stans look insecure. fukk them reviews. I literally just reread the Vibe magazine review of IWW where they shytted on that album…no Jay-Z agenda to lean on…just shytted on it cuz they thought he went commercial…and that review means shyt to me because that is my GOAT album

I know you a Jay stan but I did mention Kanye West. I mentioned Jay cause 444 got praised for its production and it is similar to the sound and high quality on KD2.

You see that's why Regular Nas fan's can't stand y'all Stans because if I up King Disease Thread around 70% of you nikkas called King Disease a classic now it's not a classic because the moment got to y'all and decided KD2 is a classic and KD1 is not:russ:

Boy y'all wild

Never called it a classic just a solid album front to back. I wanted more “The Cure” caliber tracks and him and HB delivered on KD2.

Cool to see the younger generation get put on to Nas.
And understand what he is trying to teach.

:ahh:

The same way he taught US when WE were 10:wow:

...25 yrs (because IWW:mj: cemented it for me) of riding with the GOAT MC:boss: has been a beautiful bumpy pathway to where he sits on top of the game now:mjcry:

QB Lingo freestyles tapin on Stretch & Bobbito:ahh:

I love both albums and KD1 is 4/5 to me. But playing it back KD feels quite ‘light’. From the drums to Nas delivery to his lyrics everything harder on KD2 and just makes it sound better

that’s not a knock really on KD as you can play KD through front to back personally on a chilled vibe and enjoy it but KD2 just came with a different aggression

I don't hear Nas trying to stunt like that on KD2. Or not any more than on some previous albums. Like on Moments, it feels more like on some "damn, this is dope, I wish y'all was here to see this" type shyt. That critique seems like projection based on his investments or whatever.

Why dudes hate when Nas talks shyt about how he's living...Like dude said on Store Run "it's not even bragging"..

He ain't beating his chest, dude just speaking on his life/experience/feelings, which he has ALWAYS done on every Album from the lows to the highest..

He's probably at his HIGHEST in life right now, money, peace, respect and happiness..and he's just speaking it!!!

Man I can give a fukk what he brag about but since you brought it up I'm going to hold the mirror to you stans face yall hypocrite.

Nas always talked about fly shyt, but it was to minimum and that's what yall hypocrite ass said why y'all can relate to 2pac and Nas because they didn't throw it in your face like Jay-Z or go overboard, right that's what y'all Stans used to say. Nas Escobar shyt we liked that shyt we knew he didn't have it like that but we listened to Nas for other shyt, and respected his creative way to express himself

I'm going to lay this verse right here after The Death of Escobar This is Nas on Zone Out "I'm six cribs deep, six bank accounts in six countries
Na I'm lyin', who gives a fukk that's so tired"

So nobody hating on Nas new success he deserves it, he worked hard we seen him damn near went bankrupt and he got it back, now he's in a different pay range, new friends. He should celebrate his accomplishment. Nas is a humble man and there was some shyt he held in and now he can finally say to his critic's over the years that always said well you ain't on Jay Z level financially he can say fukk you and floss on them, he letting hip hop know in his words that he was the one to stand up to Pac And I'm his Equal, Big, Mobb Deep, Jay Z didn't I did, that's my town, and talking that gangsta shyt, big Willie shyt

I mean do you muthafukkas listen to the words he saying or y'all Zombies, he told y'all he about to grow his own garden to smell his roses since muthafukkas don't give them out

Like I said this album is Nas beating his chest album. Nas was a humble dude but there was things he kept in and now he want his just due if you don't give it to me I'm going to remind you.

He have every right, but some shyt was out of character from him. When Pac beat his chest y'all said he was acting, calling him Bishop, well Nas on his bishop shyt and there's nothing wrong. He earned

"Stan this, Stan that"... we get it man. Everyone is a "stan", apparently.

Anyways, that line from Zone Out is a play on a Cam line. Just wanted to point that out.

I prefer KD2 over KD

It's not a knock on KD, it was a dope album...one of the best rap albums of the past 5 yrs

I just instantly felt this KD2 album the same way I instantly felt Stillmatic...it was immediate...other Nas albums I have to digest in pieces

Great production, relevant song concepts, more multi-syllabic rhymes, appropriate lyrical content for the stage he's currently in, the album flowed from beginning to end...listening to this the first time was a moment, and this album has undeniable replay value

It's just very consistent

This album is like a hooper that scores 30 for 15 games straight

KD is like a hooper that went 20-25-25-30-40-20-30-25-20-40-25-20-40-25-30
