We shouldn't even be devoting that much energy to these reviews. Everyone who has already heard the album is not the audience of the reviews anyway. Reviews are for people going in with fresh ears. Reviews don't really hold much weight anymore anyway because critics aren't really tastemakers anymore. They aren't getting copies of albums months and weeks in advance, which gave them some power in regard to whether people copped or not. Albums are readily available to where millions have already heard an album before a journalist can write the first word of the review.

It’s reaching point where some of the big names in the culture need to call out Pitchfork for this stuff.

I don’t know if that’s some social account like Shader Room or Akademiks or a big MC but someone needs to call them out and remove their supposed legitimacy to review hip hop.

we need to tag legends or something on the review so they call it out cos this idiots partially taken over the narrative

What happened I haven't been keeping up?

say what yall want, but this cac really got a huge pull and he's been really consistent with praising or shytting on nikkas albums objectively ...His breakdown reviews really insightful at times...He got the yellow shirt on even he knows this is classic :wow:

Nah

Pass

Allowing voices outside the culture to hold weight within is why folks are mad at pitchfork now. He's not more qualified than any random goofy at home with a camera.

I had a feeling that the pitchfork reviewer would be a black :mjlol:

This is typical pitchfork and to be completely honest that publication has lost its luster a long time ago so why should we care about they opinion? :francis:

I mean c’mon this the same publication that gave Yeezus a perfect 10:mjlol:

They clearly have biases and when it comes to Nas there’s no exception but who cares? The writer just wants clout off of this and we’re giving it to him:unimpressed:

Everyone that’s been in this thread knows that Nas delivered an amazing body of work that should be celebrated and that’s what we’re gonna continue to do! We can’t let that fruit basket ass nikka fukk up everything:childplease:

And I hope Hit Boy don’t acknowledge it. Focus on the love not the hate.
