You? The last time I had such visceral disgust was when I heard Eminem’s verse. :scust:

I couldn't even read the review, just the parts posted. These people have no right reviewing something they don't understand. That nitpicking of individual lines, deliberately getting information wrong (if they're not fukking stupid), that modern-day sarcasm that seeps its way into every critique ("In one line, Nas says blah blah blah. Could the line be more historically false?").

fukk Pitchfork. All we need is Rolling Stone and Max from Hip Hop Isn't Dead to complete the bullshyt trifecta. :scust:

He'll probably show love to the album. I think he actually gave faint praise to KD 1. Also Im shocked he still gets attention since blogging was dead.

Yeah, faint praise is the best that he'll give a Nas album. The only person he criticizes as much (if not more) is Eminem. Like, he regrets even being a big fan of his back in the day so his review of "EPMD 2" will be interesting.

I'm also waiting to see what Dead End Hip Hop has to say, but knowing them, I wouldn't be surprised if they praise the album.

They're usually pretty good about it, until year end list and it gets a little group-thinky with a a mix of some stuff that no one's ever heard.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
I want y'all to do me a quick favor.

If you add Sorry Not Sorry to your Itunes playlist as track 16 to KD2... the way the end of Nas Is Good fading into the intro of SNS... the transition is fukkin' beautiful.

Great addition/bonus track.

Try it one time.

You know what Nas and Hit-Boy do especially well on this track? When the beat changes/picks-up Nas bars match the energy perfectly.

  • "Its in my blood to drive these cars and live this large" - Nas is Good
  • "Only island my nikkas knew is rikers or staten" - 40 side
  • All of Rare

The flow on Life is a Like Dice Game was the perfect preview to the album. Also a good add in to the playlist

It’s reaching point where some of the big names in the culture need to call out Pitchfork for this stuff.

I don’t know if that’s some social account like Shader Room or Akademiks or a big MC but someone needs to call them out and remove their supposed legitimacy to review hip hop.

we need to tag legends or something on the review so they call it out cos this idiots partially taken over the narrative
