She hasn't rapped on wax for almost 2 decades. She is more than capable of writing that verse considering she is undoubtedly one of the GOAT MCs. However, it's obvious that anyone's belief (NOT MINE) that she didn't write her own verse comes from a place of shock that she's been MIA for years and comes back and doesn't miss a beat. It's a testament to her greatness. Nothing more, nothing less. No comparison to the Nas "Untitled" nonsense.

Even the dudes who sued her made sure to note that Lauryn wrote all of her verses herself, she didn’t do the bulk of the PRODUCTION.


To say that this woman, who made one of the greatest albums of ALL TIME, needs Nas to write lyrics for her about the mindstate she had whilst deciding to leave the industry, finding inner peace, and defending her actions for showing up late to shows, with NO PROOF whatsoever to show for it besides your wax infested ears, is fukking retarded.

Even better...it was Nas that got her to do THIS. She has an album with Kanye that will never come out. She has an album with Black Milk that will never come out. Multiple tracks with all types of great, important artists that will never come out. It was NAS who got the greenlight. That's power and respect.

I'd disagree on that, I thought she had the best verse but Nas was still dope on it too. Reason I give her the W in part is the verse is 100% on the point, no detours or deviations. Nas kinda goes on tangents sometimes so you get the like...IG DMing and I'm like come on.

That's not a tangent at all. The song is about finding a place to go - be it a physical place or a mental state - and the line about IG is Nas saying even social media is a place he can't go to be nobody...him DMing a chick when he is Nas could blow up in his face.

It enhances the core idea of the song that Nas brings up the internet as a possible place to be just like cities, states, and countries.
