Melo isn't going anywhere when he should be the first out the door. Free agency in the summer will be calling for washed up players with a street image that can look hard in pictures and dunk. This is a terrible team, Phil doesn't give a shyt about Winning, he got himself a nice fat final check.

Now that his physical health is no longer a talking point, his IQ or lack thereof has been exposed something awful. I don't think he's selfish or even a ball hog per se, but he's definitely a "My Turn - Your Turn" type of guard.

i.e. "I'ma try to get mine, probably using the PnR as leverage... and then I'll give you the ball at half court and you can try to get yours however you want... and then back to me."

You don't even have to be a Chris Paul to be a facilitator. Remember how the mid-00 Pistons would run those set play baseline screen curls for Rip and Tayshaun? With Chauncey hitting the curler/screener at whichever side? Once a blue moon NY will run something like and it'll result in a great shot. But then they never go back to it again.
