The Knicks are absolutely bad enough to get into the top 5.
1-9 in the last 10, they've arguably been the worst team in the league in that stretch. I know that some people don't like to get into advanced stats, but I remember @Derek Lee posting that the Knicks had a negative point differential despite having a winning record, so it's not a stretch to say the Knicks were overachieving at one point and the Knicks are just playing to their true level right now. So yeah, the Knicks are probably bad enough to get into the top 5 even without making any changes.
whats everyone so upset about? these losses are good in the long run, pair kp with another young player. melo isnt going anywhere, i dont know why we discuss this after every loss. it's not happening til maybe this off-season, and i dont see it happening then either.
What's upsetting is that the Knicks are losing and the younger players aren't being developed. If you're gonna lose, get as much as you can out of it, give Willy starter minutes and treat KP like the #1 option. I can watch and enjoy seeing these guys develop at least. Losing while you give vets heavy minutes instead really doesn't amount to much and is just frustrating to watch.

Nah, this isn't the right way to tank because it's getting in the way of Kristaps who is being reduced to "Stand and wait" on offense, you saw how much the Sixers get the ball to Embiid in the mid-post and how he's almost always involved on offense, that isn't the case with Porzingis. There's absolutely no reason why the Knicks can't get the ball to Kristaps in the same spots, but they just dont. This is a terrible way to tank because the expectations are high on the team, and you're not bad enough to get any of the top 5 picks. The Sixers are developing their guys and tanking, their fans realize the team is young and still enjoy the game because they have a player(s) they can look forward to watching grow.
Yes, the stand and wait behind the 3pt line shyt is something that KP has even grown accustomed to this season...and I hate it. Last year he was crashing boards, playing a bit more in the paint, working more with his back to the basket. It's frustrating to watch.

I'd put money up that Phil wants the offense to run through Porzingis, the triangle worked with Gasol doing a lot of faceup work and finding cutters, they don't run the triangle anymore because Rose & Melo don't have the skillset for it. So, the most talented player on the team is being used like he's Ryan Anderson, when we all know he can do a lot more.

Phil wasn't the GM before and the team stunk, the coach and the players around Melo were different and the team stunk, the only constant here is that the team has been garbage with Melo for more years than it's been good.

Homie the Knicks been trash way before Melo got there, so honestly that's the only constant. Probably gonna be garbage long after Melo is gone to

Nicca wanted that iso so bad. Nevermind the fact that they got a great look out of the design play, the fact that they lost dude will think in his mind that he's right.

they were actually a pretty good team with amare, gallo, fields, chandler, etc

melo gutted the team and has been ruining the franchise ever since

im talking strictly losses, nobody should be upset they lost tonight. its a good thing in the long run. I would love for them to treat kp like the number 1 option, but its not gonna happen while melo is here, along with rose. i know what it is already, so im not getting upset over it. i agree with playing willy more, tho i expect the more losses we get, the more action he will see.

none of these things will change until melo leaves, and im not even shytting on dude, hes still a good player in the league, he just doesnt fit in here anymore. problem is, hes in control of his destiny, all we can do is wait til he decides hes had enough.

nikka yall are funny blame melo for everything kp can't be the number one option when he can't dominate the game with bench players and he has no one on one game this nikka is always at the 3 pt line has no post game has no go to move like i said he is a glorified ryan anderson
