Bad teams figure out ways to lose. This is how you tank properly though, these dudes put in a pretty good effort and actually had spurts of good defensive communication but the offense was pretty ugly for stretches. This ain't the type of game you want to win where Melo and Rose isolation play was damn near the only thing working; so let the tank keep going screw it.

Melo and Rose playing like this will draw some attention from gm's that want to solidify a playoff spot. Someone will think "we can make that work"
A no trade clause basically gives the player all the power. Carmelo doesnt want to leave. It's on him not the Knicks at this point.

I really haven't liked Lance's defense lately, I'd go Holiday if we wanted to boost the starting defense. Lee and Holiday working together has always been fun to see even though it rarely happens. Edit: He was pretty good tn but I feel like he's been hit or miss game to game lately.

Why doesn't phil just ask him to waive the NTC. Phil got chips, and the nyc fans and media hate Melo so no one would care or ride for melo.

Phil would have to find a team/city he'd be willing to go and that team has to want him back. The Knicks can't dictate the terms here...any trade Melo can block if he doesn't like it.
The Knicks were out of their minds to give him this which leads me to believe there's a lot more to the Knicks/Melo relationship than we're privy to. I think he's the only player in the entire league with a no trade clause.
