I'm still of the belief that the Melo contract and NTC was a Dolan/Mills decision, and not Phil's. Once that happened, Phil kinda/sorta gave up on his idea of the team being a real competitor or building a solid foundation during his tenure because he didn't want Melo here long-term. You could see it in his quotes and interviews with his comments back then.

So Phil should've f*cking quit. People love placing the blame of Dolan, Mills, but not Phil.

Well he's impossible to cut unless they were to arrange some sort of buy out. The Knicks are still on the hook for 60 mill or so.
