Milwaukee is missing their 3rd best player and even then I'm not even sure yall can take them in a 7 game series right now :dead:. Imagine when they start a second year Brodgon, Middleton comes back healthy, and they add a mid to late lotto pick.

lol @ making fun of Philly. At the end of the day they did what they had to do. Regardless how many picks they wasted they got the franchise piece and likely the secondary piece needed to content in the future.

What are the Knicks doing? They don't even have their secondary piece. They are literally building a treadmill team alongside one of the brightest prospects they've ever had.
You talk like a nikka who only reads the Coli for their sports opinion.

We may not have a perennial second piece however, while yall trying to attach a cheesesteak and a jawn w/ a phat ass and caramel skin to sweeten up a low trade value Okafor and/or Nerlens Noel deal... Knicks are over here ready to get pitch forks ready if a 26 year old Kyle O'Quinn or a 22 year old Willy Hernangomez gets traded. Both of which are signed to four year deals.

Philly isn't winning a chip in the next 5 years, breh. The Knicks, aren't either, but in the meantime, we'll be watchable AND when Melo's contract is over, we'll have those pieces and be in great position to take any trajectory seems best.

Considering the way our GM has been drafting and making moves... I have confident in him regardless of where our pick is in future drafts.

Yo i am about to take myself off the watchlist for this thread you guys are so unbearable and whiny shyt is one of the reasons i bounced from realgm knicks we have a good season on our hand and all i hear is dumb shyt like Melo has to let KP become the focal point it is tiring KP has to develop his one on one skills before he can become the main cog, and really work on his pick n roll and his low post placement on guards it is annoying seeing him and rose do a pnr and kp post up at the free throw line and then take an ugly turnaround off balance shot roll to the basket and actually put ur body on the fukking guard

Spread Love - The Player Way
i really dont see how these nikkas are shytting on milwaukee like they arent already giving fits the the best team in the conference match up wise
they're young and lack consistency and their best shooter has been out all season...but to see that their top two guns (giannis and jabari) and not think that they'll be problems is delusional :mjlol:
to see the wolves have 3 young players under 22 all drop 40+ already at some point this season...and they all drop 20 a night...and to refute that their future is bright is retarded. they just lack defense...and thibs will need time to teach it to them.
to see how good embiid is after not playing a second in 2 years...if ben simmons is half as good as what is advertised....they can move their other young pieces for better matching parts to match up with those two.......and not forget they have 2 picks in a guard heavy draft (a position they need to fill).
sure the knicks might be better than those teams RIGHT NOW....but their ceilings going forward will be greater...because they ALL have multiple players with good-great potential all under 22-23 and with how the cba is looking...they wont be going anywhere.
the ideal is to get more young players with kp...to grow and develop together and be a force in due time.
yes i'd like to see kp get a taste of the playoffs....but i want my potential generational talent to compete for rings year in and year out.

Simmons will be a playmaking forward, nobody knows what his ceiling is but they already have their franchise player in Embiid. They will most likely get two draft picks this summer, they could have the 1st and 5th pick in this draft, even without the first pick they're walking away with a player that fits their team (Smith or Monk).

Why are you talking about who wants to play for them? Again, the new CBA makes player movement from stars a lot less likely, trying to get a star in FA this summer will be pointless.

Okay, theyve had picks for years, what have they done with them? You can't say what simmons will or won't be, so he's a nonfactor right now. Okafor doesn't want to play for them, Noel frustrated...the organization seems clueless. Embidd can't be called a franchise player until he puts up numbers for a full season consistently without getting hurt. Again, that's not a bright future by any stretch.

@Malta You are wasting your time being logical with these folks, they have made it clear they are emotionally invested in being the eastern conference Clippers. I argue with Knicks fans all the time and the irrational hope is very prevalent. They want to see playoff basketball to get their endorphins up and if the Knicks reach the second round they will be happy. At least Clipper fans (on here at least) know the second round exit is not worth it if it comes attached with no real upside.

Brehs come in here and want to continue bringing up past GM decisions intertwined with what they believe the Knicks should do.

It's not even concise...it's almost purposefully filled with fluff and so convoluted that no one can tell if it's what they think we should be doing or a critique of what's been done.

Typical coli shyt...

Brehs having a end of year final and instead of solving the problem the hypothetical presents, they spend 3/4 of the time complaining about the stupidity of getting into the situation the hypothetical presents.

fukk all that bullshyt.

Anyway... So Chris Paul isn't a free agent until Summer 2018.

That leaves D. Rose, Jrue Holiday, Steph Curry(shouldn't even mention him), Jeff Teague, and Shaun Livingston as the top PG free agents this summer.

I'm really interested in what alot of yall have to to say about this...

I really like Jrue...

Who has more trade value right now? I dunno probably O'Quinn.

At the end of the day the reason you tank is to get the blueprint. The blueprint being a way to build your team around which is mostly a franchise type of guy. Everything you do after you get that guy is to have him and the team compete at the highest level for years to come. At least with the 76ers they have the blueprint and depending on some unknown factors can very well compete for a championship in 5 years. Maybe Simmons is babybron, Embiid in year two with his legs under him becomes the most dominant big of this era, or maybe one of the likely two lotto picks is a dominant player. Who knows? What we do know though is Knicks with long term money tied to Melo,Rose, and Noah aren't competing now or later for a championship even with their franchise piece in K.P.

Yo...

Change the thread title to

Random Observations Thread From NY's Porch.:mindblown:

@ogc163 Has the nerve to figuratively hold another outside poster back from trying to reason w/ Knicks fans like we looked into the mirror and said any poster's name three times on some candyman shyt.

Brehs will swear Knicks fans are belligerent and uppity on the Coli yet we tend to stay in our lane in our thread.

fukking comedy. :pachaha:

Why is Milwaukee being used as an example as to why we should tank?

They have one top 5 pick like us Jabari Parker. The rest of their team they build through smart drafting in the late lottery to mid to late first round and second round and their preference for wingspan.

Jabari | 2nd overall pick
Giannis | 15th overall pick
Thon | 10th overall pick
Henson | 14th overall pick
Middleton | 39th overall pick
Brogdon | 36th overall pick
Vaughn | 17th overall pick

We have our picks in upcoming years I don't understand why we can't continue to build around KP while remaining competitive. If we can find gems in the draft in that mid 1st to 2nd round like the Bucks that would be ideal. Guys like Kawhi, Giannis, Gobert, Draymond, Isaiah Thomas, Jimmy Butler, etc. were not lottery picks. Some talented young dudes like Nikola Jokic and Jordan Clarkson core rebuilding pieces for their teams was second rounders. Also, the Knicks have done a good job scouting overseas talents signing Kuz and Hernangomez, and developing talent in the D-League with Langston Galloway and Lance Thomas.
