Melo has a NTC.... Also he keeps teams from double teaming KP and he's actually holding onto the ball less this year..... Anyhow the question is about keeping Rose and I said I agree with it. There aren't that many moves the knicks can make. The fact they haven't already started to brag about Rose coming back is actually them not doing the normal Knick thing. The next step would be to try and get him for 3 years.

I actually agree with you on the Wilson Chandler/Melo offseason move. However, Melo wanted his money, Dolan thought Amare & Melo would of been a great Duo, and secretly I think they wanted a more durable star anyway which is what they got.
It was a old regime.We in the Phil Jackson era, and the smart move is to sign Rose to a 3 year deal, Then see if they can move him or let him come off the books with Melo and Noah and be part of a playoff team.
Also as for the Lakers, Wolves, and Philly. They got more assets sure, but who knows what will happen. The Thunder could of been the GAWD tier team and broke it up, and the Rockets and Warriors benefitted from it. The Warriors built a beast team all around but they struggling to live up to their own hype.
All you can do is try to make the right decision in front of you. Maybe the knicks have more options come FA for PG's, but if Rose is the best option willing to go to NY, you try to get him on a reasonable deal and build up around that.
Just a heads up breh, the last time the Sixers made the playoffs was 2011-2012, the last time the Knicks made the playoffs was 2012-2013. Both teams made it to the 2nd round, such a huge difference. So, the Sixers are getting criticized for tanking when the Knicks have done the same thing basically but without the Embiid, Simmons, Noel core or the 2 lottery picks they'll get this summer.

That leaves D. Rose, Jrue Holiday, Steph Curry(shouldn't even mention him), Jeff Teague, and Shaun Livingston as the top PG free agents this summer.
I'm really interested in what alot of yall have to to say about this...
