And tanking for multiple years is a sure route to championships huh. No wonder Philly & the Timberwolves have deep playoff runs....oh wait...

The Knicks haven't had a deep playoff run since PATRICK EWING was here.

The 76ers and Timberwolves have a way brighter future than we do. Our future hinges solely on Porzingis while the other 2 squads have multiple assets that they can develop or move.

Jesus Christ you really are a dumbass.

So then go become a fan of those teams. We tired of missing the fukking playoffs for a draft pick that might or might not pan out. N*ggas swear you can't get talented or potential star players in the middle or late 1st round.

It's the defense . If we Atleast had the defense back when Woodson was head coach then :wow:

With Calderon gone I thought we weren't gonna see anymore Pgs waltzing into the paint:beli:
This is why i was surprised phil would compain about lebrons boys when phil got the biggest coaching leech in rambis dude is given the defense coaching job just cause phil wants an ear around the team

problem is bruh...we missed the playoffs while not even having picks...cause you know...we been dealing them bytches since the isaiah thomas era ...who was that last high draft pick we took prior to porzingis that had potential to be something?
gallinari? wilson chandler?...that's literally 5-6 years :dead:
it's unlikely to get a star in those ranks....because for every giannis theres 30 nikkas that wont be in the league in 3 years

some of you nikkas take the "woe is me for being a knicks fan" approach too much
and some of you nikkas take the..."my nikkas are exempt from criticism" approach too much
i'd like to think im balanced with my expectations and wants from the team on the court and front office
:manny: making the playoffs would be nice...but i dont wanna be the pelicans...or even worse a fringe playoff team that wont be a threat to shyt down the line(3-4 straight years).....so you wont even get a lotto pick.
they pay phil jackson all them millions cause this shyt is hard :heh:

NAME ONE that the knicks drafted in recent memory. I have one...David Lee.

Did you really think Michael Sweetney was going to come in and dominate the league? The dude spent more time at the Sbarro across the garden than in games.

Wilson Chandler, Gallo, THJR, Shump, Channing Frye, David Lee, Jordan Hill.

Nobody would say these are star players, iirc, some were slobbering over Gallo's potential.

Just because the Knicks haven't done good draft picks in the past with their draft position, let's not act like other teams haven't found diamonds in the rough in the middle to late first round

None of those players are those you build around. That's the point. You named...1 all-star.

The Knicks are an incompetent franchise. They need the top slots to HOPE they don't fukk it up. We took a huge gamble on Porzingis and it seems like it was the right pick in that slot.

You're right but I don't see the knicks doing that. So the best move might be to continue to get assets (like Willy in the second) and build through the draft. I would also like KP to get some playoff experience while he is young so he doesn't develop into a regular season star and learns what it takes to go the distance. 2 more seasons isn't the worse. Especially if Melo and Rose, or Rose and Noah comes off the books at the same time. That is some good money for FA.

If the knicks had Wilson Chandler on it right now it would be a top 3 team in the East, but that is another conversation.

This obviously isn't the same front office from the Layden/Thomas era. And EVERY draft pick is a huge gamble whether at #1 or #30
