The conversation in this thread about Melo being the star moving forward is expired.

No one is talking about that except for anyone trying to open up old arguments.

The convo that will feed the exciting fire moving forward in the offseason thread will be

  1. Whether Phil's unabashed and unapologetic behavior will be considered positive for this evolving roster or not.
  2. Where we will draft and who we will draft. I've been at odds with @Malta @Frump And @ogc163 but I'm looking forward to their insight regarding potential prospects.
  3. Whether KP is untouchable or not.
I'm definitely in the #KPorDie camp so I want to see that boy flourish as a Knick. I consider him untouchable.

Any ideas on the title of the new offseason thread?

The reaction to Tyson literally saying he would fukk Lennox Lewis wife and kill (and eat) his kids wasn't as bad as this

All he has to do is stay seated during the national anthem for a game or two and he'll officially be the most hated by the media in sports. I don't agree with some of his moves, plenty of what he says/does but it's hella overblown and I think a big part of that is the media upset that he doesn't communicate with them directly often enough. Journalists acting like jealous exes getting ignored.

True, but he isn't the worse GM. We can look around the league and his colleagues have had the same or similar issues. There has yet to be a "run him out of town move". No trades of picks, his worse contract is on par with a bunch of other bad contracts (Matthews, Deng, Mozgov, Turner, Crabbe, and Parsons).

We would be further in our rebuild if Grunwald didn't trade for Barfnani, but he actually brought in the better rookie than our 8 pick (fukk the Craptors) as a second round draft and stash.

Like he is at worse a bit below average but because of NY media he gets the most shyt of any GM in the league.

Next year is a much more narrow draft so him going into the season bottoming out with a tank makes sense. Him trying to move Melo when we will likely be in the lottery the next two years makes sense. None of his moves are "wtf Isiah" bad, and he hasn't been coasting like Layden either since he seems to have a plan he is trying to institute.
This, I understand.

But, understand, Phil wasn't a fukk boy for his "he's better somewhere else" statement in a vacuum. It's the full library of bullshyt and random/unnecessary and arguably damaging statements he's stated over the course of this year that only made the organization more of a pariah in the eyes of the league, the players union and not to mention, our franchise piece...

The Knicks don't deserve my support so I won't be watching or supporting next season. So that's on you guys. I made like 2 of the last 3 or 4 threads but I'm not making the next one.

They gotta show me something before I support again.

I'm not a dikkriding bandwagon thot like @Illuminatos so I'm not just going to go to another team. But I'm taking the season off. Might just catch the offs and call it a year.

You should make it though bro. Just make it good.

I am pretty damn certain if Ntilikina is there at #7 we are taking him. I mock him out to be a smaller but better passing/defending Khris Middleton.

Not the number #2 piece to KP, but eventually a key team member when the time comes to compete in the playoffs. He's a Euro so he came up in a more team ball/ coach dominant culture that Phil wants the Knicks to emulate.

He's skinny as hell but long :dame:

And still growing :dame:

Only team that I think gives him a legit look is Philly (though Monk fits them better) and the wolves (when we assume like always the league screws us and they go #6)

Porzingis is untouchable, and I'd bet the Knicks actually feel that way, just that Phil is trying his dated mind tricks on a player who doesn't need the motivational push. Also, Porzingis isn't going to leave, players do not turn down the first extension so I wouldn't worry about that either.

I'd assume that they've got their eye on Ntilikina, and that explains why they have some interest in Rose still, sort of a stop gap to split time with Frank who is essentially going to be HS to Pro type player in regards to his age (still only 18) he's younger than a lot of the college freshmen.

fukk the Wolves. I could see these fukkbois drafting Isaac if they're in the 6th spot.

The same thing happened with the Cavs and Pelicans a few years ago, the Cavs won the coin toss and selected a certain set of numbers.......had the Cavs lost the coin toss they would have won the lottery for Anthony Davis.
