That's wild... my first job in 1992, I didnt even interview, or even sign anything.. I just started working when i walked in.
STFUHonestly, I get it. They need to see if you're built for it, and if you're serious, before investing the time and training. Imagine how much turnover comes from people who apply for labor jobs and quit in a few days after realizing they aren't built for it.
Is it 3 interviews or come back 3 times for separate 3 interviews?
It's not really to see if you can do the job, generally your resume or diploma will say you can do the job. Background checks last I checked were $1,500-2,500 each time. Very easily can add up and they're probably trying to make sure you're not a flake more than anything. Someone who either really needs a job will make sure they come to each.
For the stock room breh? Only hidden costs there is from the mifukkas that's stealing. Everything don't fit every situation.........again......A lot of these guys don't realize the true sunken cost of having to cycle through employees. background checks, drugs tests, reduced productivity because they have to get another more experienced to take time out to train them.
Imagine putting on your Sundays best to sit through 3 round interview to put fukking beans on a shelf
I hear you bro, but that's all unskilled jobs. I don't even try to learn their names until a month or two has passed. At Home Depot people used to leave at break and never come back. There's a reason the pay is what it is; they honestly only expect you to stay half a year at most. My supervisor at Home Depot told us that. We used to hear stories about how hard Target was on its freight team. They treated them like slaves.Yes it is. My first job outta college I managed a Target. The turnover is crazy. You gotta vet out those people. I still remember one lady who just stopped showing up after a month.
I told HR that I didn't think she was a fit just based off my interview with her. Had the I told yo ass face with HR afterwards
Y'all be trying so hard to sound cool and smart that y'all don't realize how stupid you sound. Most these dudes have never been a boss, period. They don’t understand the value of time, and the importance of vetting someone for a mentally and physically demanding overnight stocking position which requires a specific kind of person. Dudes talking about “high turnover is better!” Aite rookie you go into business with that attitude, watch your disciplined competition run laps around you.
This what y'all don’t get, turn overs like that in retail are inevitableYes it is. My first job outta college I managed a Target. The turnover is crazy. You gotta vet out those people. I still remember one lady who just stopped showing up after a month.

if companies make the interview process as grueling as possible you will accept any ol bullshyt they make you do because you are scared to start from square oneApplying for jobs is tiring af. You can do what you are supposed to do and still have places ghost you...they want you to be a professional, but the company themselves show no professionalism.
Sees a job that says Immediately hiring because you need a job....."Our hiring process takes about 3-4 months"
