MTV Show "Washington Heights"

The "guido subculture" was damn near nonexistent around here until jersey shore happened. It inaccurately depicted people from the shore and if you think about it those people were casted, actors. It's the same thing.. I'm sure MTV will work it out.

This shyt aired back in the early 00's... Maybe Jersey Shore amplified it... But my idea of the "Jersey Shore" and "Guido" Culture was formulated from this shyt here... I've never been to Jersey by the way...


Also, as someone who is unbiased in that I've never been to NY... It seems like they are trying to do the Laguna Beach thing, just with a different socioeconomic and racial group... Im sure teens will watch this shyt...

I just watched the preview and my first impression is that NYers are DISGUSTING. From the environment to the accents. Ugh! Everything seemed to be covered in a layer of grime and filth that just can't be washed off. Even the lens seemed to be covered in city grime/filth.

The accents I heard were equally, if not even moreso disgusting than the setting. Blah. I don't know if I could tolerate some yappin ass b!tch with one of those hideous accents.

Guidos been around NYC/NJ for decades.

I'm not saying the show is gonna be dope or blow up like jersey shore and shyt.
But ur stupid to think Washington Heights isn't one of the most influential areas in NYC.
Wash Heights/Dyckman is where alotta celebs go to party, there's def some relevance in the area.
