I mean... Im pretty aware of how offended Italian Americans in general were of the show... I was just disagreeing with your comment about "Guido Culture" being a fairly new development brought on by the Show Jersey Shore... I was amplifying it by saying I've never even been to NJ and Guido Culture was already my perception(obviously not everyone) of those areas 7 years before Jersey Shore came out... Same way Chicago has a lot of Guidos(lived there for 6 years):manny:

Obviously not everyone is a guido that lives in NJ...

I'm not saying its new, I am saying that more people are trying to live that life (like non-Italian Snooki) since Jersey Shore became popular. I've lived in Ny & Nj my entire life and have never been friends with a guido or really even seen them until recently.

MTV producers created Snooki and all the other characters, so I'm sure they can do the same with these Washington Heights people..

I just watched the preview and my first impression is that NYers are DISGUSTING. From the environment to the accents. Ugh! Everything seemed to be covered in a layer of grime and filth that just can't be washed off. Even the lens seemed to be covered in city grime/filth.

The accents I heard were equally, if not even moreso disgusting than the setting. Blah. I don't know if I could tolerate some yappin ass b!tch with one of those hideous accents.

:scusthov:

Don't base the entire city off one neighborhood in one borough. Washington Heights is prole, dirty, and disgusting, but like Tall Israeli said, drive about 10 minutes south to the Upper West Side, and you'll feel like you're in another country.

No matter how you spin it, the person is an idiot for turning it down.

So instead of MTV owning the rights to a movie that there is almost no chance of being made the person decides to keep doing nothing?

Fact of the matter is the person probably wasnt chosen. If they took the time to send in one of those absurd audition tapes to get on the show they wouldnt have been turned away due to MTV making money off of them when they in turn would also be seeing more money than they are now also.

what do you think are the career prospects of any of those jersey shore cats from here on out? aside from MAYBE Pauly D...

According to y'all... Wash Heights isn't influential... Why does Fab rap so much about Dyckman? I wonder where Drake got the idea to smoke Hookah in the 2 Chainz video? Which featured Cyn Santana (who's from uptown).. Why nikkas got threads here about Yaris Sanchez (another uptown bytch)
Btw I know Hookah is Egyptian shyt.. But nikkas wasn't up on it til uptown clubs started doing it.
Don't front... Especially if u not from NY/NJ
Did you really try to claim Hookah was popularized by a bunch of scummy Dominicans?

Really breh? :what:
