But ur stupid to think Washington Heights isn't one of the most influential areas in NYC.
Wash Heights/Dyckman is where alotta celebs go to party, there's def some relevance in the area.

Guidos been around NYC/NJ for decades.

The blowout steroids and tanning have been around Italian culture for a long ass time. Remember Growing up Gotti that was in 2001.

Growing up gotti was in NY, most likely Queens and Staten Island. If you've ever been to NY/NJ you'd see how rare it is to see an Italian who genuinely acts like that.

This shyt aired back in the early 00's... Maybe Jersey Shore amplified it... But my idea of the "Jersey Shore" and "Guido" Culture was formulated from this shyt here... I've never been to Jersey by the way...

Personally give 0 fukks about this Washington heights show, my point is that usually characters aren't relatable to the area they're targeting. The jersey shore people are probably relatable to the people in the areas they're from (NY, Rhode Island) like 2 of them were from Jersey.

And since you're not in this area you wouldn't know how offended the people were and how hard they tried to get the show canceled.

I gave good points why the show won't work

1. Washington Heights has very limited relevance, therefore comparing it to a show named after the shoreline of an entire state is wrong

2. More importantly, Dominicans / Latinos are not comparable to white Italian-Americans; I can't imagine random white people in the midwest watching a show based on an area that no one even knows about outside of the tri-state and based on people that are foreign to them (tl;dr: there's a big difference between Italians and Dominicans)

I couldn't care less about this show, I was jut saying that the people don't have to be relatable for the show to succeed.

I was just disagreeing with your comment about "Guido Culture" being a fairly new development brought on by the Show Jersey Shore... I was amplifying it by saying I've never even been to NJ and Guido Culture was already my perception(obviously not everyone) of those areas 7 years before Jersey Shore came out... Same way Chicago has a lot of Guidos(lived there for 6 years)
