First and foremost, I don't think Elliott and Tyrell are the same person. if that turns out to be the case I will quit watching the show because it makes no sense. Tyrell and Elliott have both met with Gideon a few times and he treated Elliott like an employee and Tyrell a boss he was reporting to. Not to mention the idea that this guy could have 2 jobs, a wife, a drug habit, a girlfriend and a secret plot to destroy a major corporation he works for and nobody noticed is a bridge too far.

What I think did happen is Mr Robot decided to let Tyrell record the last video as a way to set him up to take the fall for the hack. He may have killed him and threw the body off the pier into the ocean. That could be the purpose of the video left behind.

Angela is still beta and she always will be because she lacks conviction. She stands up in the moment but then reality sets in and she backs off. She was gungho about fighting E corp and getting justice for her mom to the point of being willing to lie and ruin her career in tech just to hurt them, then realized she was broke and went to work for the people she ruined her life to hurt because she couldn't win. She didn't boss up on the shoe salesman, she made him stop punching her in the face with the reality of her situation. Fact is she let the CEO play her into doing things she shouldn't have even though the company is fukked and she no longer has a mountain of debt.

Tyrell's wife operates like a spy. That reverse interrogation technique of answering questions to get info based on the follow up is straight out of burn notice. She will be trouble.

The CEO did a hell of a job projecting strength when he knows their fukked. He is one heartless two faced a$$hole though. White rose playing everyone is an interesting look.

As for Elliott and his state of mind I can't even speculate at this point. I will say I think it was Vera at the door.

is there a 'holy trinity' thing going on. Mr Robot/Elliot is the "father" and son (Jesus) and via the 4th wall break, the audience is painted as the 'holy ghost'. Is Mr Robot developing to be a techno-Revelations vibe. Is Tyrell and his Wife the Devil. Tyrell already recognized Elliot as a higher power. Is the CEO set himself up as a 'savior' to the masses to resolve and save them from the mess the anti-christ. Is Angela going to become Judas and sell Elliot out?

I think that line was more supposed to be a John the baptist/Jesus relationship. Where John came through and let everyone know Jesus was coming and what he was going to do, which Mr Robot did with fsociety. Jesus/Elliott was supposed to be the savior that followed through on the plan that was "prophesied" which he didn't because Mr Robot executed with Tyrell.

That makes a lot of sense. Its pretty clear that video had a deeper meaning than just showing Elliot jump and I agree Tyrell was the man behind the mask the last time they showed a video recording. It really isn't hard to imagine Evilcorp assuming it was him. I mean shyt after murdering the CTO's wife, being fired, is it really a leap to think he would then mastermind the Hack.

True but I felt that he said that to indicate how it was now in reverse. He was the one making the moves and Elliot was basically left on the ground trying to figure out what it all meant. Also just like jesus he is his father and himself and he keeps speaking to a spirit even he can't see.

I'm curious to see who whiterose is outside of his hacker persona. Clearly he's someone very important.

Elliot's loneliness and isolation has fragmented his mind into creating an alter ego in Mr. Robot. As you've seen in the flashback with his pops, he had major cajones. Elliot relies on that boldness to do things he other wise wouldn't be able to do.

Hitflix: Leaving aside yesterday's tragedy, what has the experience been like having real events so quickly parallel stories you told on the show? It got to the point where you had to make a last-minute to the finale scene between Krista and Lenny so he could acknowledge the Ashley Madison hack's effect on his life.

Sam Esmail: It's strange. And just to speak to the specific Ashley Madison line. That was originally in the script. If you remember from the pilot, that's one of the things Elliot hacked about him, and one of the things Elliot used to manipulate him. When I wrote that in the season finale, I went, "Well, I'm kind of overdoing this," referencing Ashley Madison. I wound up cutting it before we were shooting it. And then literally, the news happened again. This is too much. It's almost as if the world wanted me to keep the scene as intended. It was actually purely a plot point. It wasn't that Elliot had released that information, but that these other hackers who hacked Ashley Madison did it, and that's why Lenny was at this desperate point of his life. The whole thing about our show continually having things as a mirror reality, I can only say that it's strange. A lot of people bring it up as some talent I have in being on the zeitgeist of what's going on in the current events. I don't think that's true at all. I just think that hacking is becoming a lot more prominent in the news. Hackers are obviously getting a lot of the spotlight now since the Sony hack. For whatever reason, we've been step in toe with that. We even got picked up on the day the Sony hack happened. That's just stuff I can't predict. In general, the feeling is incredibly surreal.
