Movies in 2023 are as bad, or worse, than they were in the 1980s

More like the 2010s. All the big streaming shows like Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things, and The Crown, started in the 2010s. Add in Cable shows like Game of Thrones, Insecure, and Fleabag and the 2010s might be the greatest decade in TV ever.
Not to mention breaking bad

Infinty pool, blackberry and covanent are the best I'd the yeaR so far.

I'll even give Simulant some love because it doesn't go the same way movies post to go.

Hulu

I'd put no hard feelings with Jennifer Lawrence on there

I haven't seen Oppenheimer yet, but I want to.

I'm on the fence with Dune. There was this tremendous hype over the 1st movie. And when I saw it....I was so underwhelmed by it. Apparently it's a comic book or a novel and I am not familiar with it, so I guess Dune 2 will take things up to another level. I don't know what to expect from it. I thought it LOOKED really great. I guess anytime something is hyped it's going to create some letdown. I'll watch Dune 2 though.

My whole rap career originally was centered around mainstreaming dune into a real world. I was even a drawing debut vinyl artist with moad'dib as my stage name.

That even I will tell you. This new dune movie is one of rhe worst films ever made and the original is better in every possible way. When the original is called one of the worst movies of all time.

No decade that had et can be spoke of negatively.
Also....
No one alive can diss the eighties.

As no one alive had a better child hood. Nor will Any generation of kids ever be satiated.
or ever have blissfullfun.
like we had in the eighties.

anyone dissing the eighties is wack, lame and a sheltered homebody.

eighties warhthe best generation to do any and everything.

it had all the bullshyt we have now and it failed cause that technology shyt past a few items is not on shyt.
nikkaz happy to have a touchscreen phone. Not knowing robbie the robot already failed.
when we was shawties after rocky iii.
All this shyt old to the eighties and a failed product.

Again.

A sheltered fukkin lame.

Eighties were the best human decade to be alive.

Especially as a kid.
Anyone dissing the eighties.
They was and still are a wack lame.

Everything anyone likes is because the eighties was unstoppable.

The nineties is when shyt became cliche commercial and retro wack as fukk as a standard.

I wasn't dissing the eighties.

I was looking back at my life, forlorn, as a child of the 80.

The good dies not outweigh the bad nor the bad the good, to quote the one True King Stannis.

The 80s might be my favorite decade for movies.

I can see the argument for the 70s and 90s having better serious dramas, but when it comes to action-adventure/sci-fi/fantasy, the 80s can’t be topped.

Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi :banderas:
Indiana Jones Trilogy :banderas:
Blade Runner :banderas:
Rocky 3 and 4 :banderas:
Ghostbusters :banderas:
Beverly Hills Cop :banderas:
Back to the Future :banderas:
The Goonies :banderas:
The Terminator :banderas:
The Last Dragon :banderas:
Big Trouble in Little China :banderas:
Aliens :banderas:
Predator :banderas:
RoboCop :banderas:
Bloodsport :banderas:
Coming to America :banderas:
Die Hard :banderas:
Who Framed Roger Rabbit :banderas:

In terms of music, the 70s through the early 80s >>>
Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Isley Brothers, Chaka Khan, Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament-Funkadelic, MJ and Prince in their prime. :wow:
Shout outs to Lakeside, the Gap Band, Slave, Zapp and Roger, the Time, Cameo, and the SOS Band. :blessed:
There’s a reason so many rappers sample their beats from that era.

80s were the goat decade for comics IMO.
Jim Shooter Marvel >>>>>
Marvel started falling off in the 90s after the image crew left, which led to the comic crash in ‘96. Not long afterward, the anime boom hit, and manga has been styling on Marvel/DC ever since. :snoop:

The 90s were the best era for gaming though. The 16-bit era :blessed:

The American Ninjas
Police Academy
Flight of The Navigator
Alien Nation

Man….. so many to name

I don't watch new movies too much unless it's an actor I respect..I need to catch up on Kate Beckinsale, The Irishman, Jessica Biel, Mila Kunis, that Jennifer Lawrence movie, a few Rock movies, some DC stuff, and just horror stuff in general. I watched Jennifer's Body last night. I miss Megan Foxx. She needs to be in more stuff. Just has a easy to watch presence.

Most people think the decade they grew up in was the best. 80's was the birth of sequels and franchises, but it still had a lot of great classics and original films.

00s was when things got bad, then progressively worse on into the 2010's.

More like the 2010s. All the big streaming shows like Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things, and The Crown, started in the 2010s. Add in Cable shows like Game of Thrones, Insecure, and Fleabag and the 2010s might be the greatest decade in TV ever.
Nope its the 2000s. Oz, Lost, Dexter, The Wire, Mad Men, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Six Feet Under.etc all started or were airing in the 00's I think that was the true dawn of prestige tv and the golden age.

Caught 86 Lithonia headed to Decatur

I grew up very close to McNair middle, i practice parallel parking in they parking lot

There's a creek behind the track field at McNair, cross that creek, my childhood friend Taurus lived there, cross the street in front of his house, that where I live.

When I had detention at Dunwoody high, I took the athletes bus home, they drop me off at McNair and I was home in five minutes
