Lol that album wasn’t anything near great. Classic example of a talented lyricist who failed at making a good album. I thought he might be next up when I heard his skills on Put It On and read The Source hype. Then he dropped a 3/5 dud.
You’re a dumb ass idiot.

Those are mixtapes. Live from the Underground was the album.

Then I completely agree.

I hear this a lot online and I disagree. Live from the underground was pretty good IMO. To me it plays out like a continuation of what he started on 4Eva N a Day.

The only mixtape/album krit dropped around that time that I think isn't good is that King Remembered In Time mixtape. I tried to make myself like it but couldn't.

Don't buy the "flood" excuse either. RZA has an encyclopedia-like memory/knowledge of martial arts flicks and music history.

No way that he lost beats because of a flood and had to make new beats, or whatever excuse they ran with for Meth's album being trash
He had to remake the beats from memory, I would not call the album trash though, just disappointing.

anywho, I feel like jay electronica takes the cake here.

Tical was still mostly good....theres like 3 maybe 4 :ld: joints

Problem is ppl expected great not merely good.
But shyt was far from trash....shyt was darker and more experimental than ppl wanted from Meth

PLO Style, Sub Crazy, Bring the Pain, what the bloodclot....those still bang imo

It's a 3.5/5 album

Honestly first that came to mind for me was J Cole's debut lol.
:francis:

crazy I never expected it to be that good, and I was right.

that 360 forced him to do so much work as a new artist to make Roc Nations money back. Ain’t no way he should have produced it himself as a rookie. Forest Hills Drive should have been the debut. The rest should have been mixtapes.

Lotpd should not be on here and is a certified classic
The revisionist history on that album is strange. It was considered a disappointment when it came out. He had a lot of buzz and The Source hyped it but when it came out it got a lukewarm response because it just wasn’t that good and the consensus was basically he can rap but his album is meh.

Years later after he passed some people tried to re-christen it some kind of classic album when it made no impact and fell flat.

Nobody agrees with you because you’re dumb. Really dumb.
