But the title says Disappointing not trash...

Tical is not a trash album but it definitely was disappointing because of the expectations...

Meth was the the first WU rapper to release a solo album, expectancy was real high & it didn't meet it...

It's a decent album though.

I'm directly responding to folk on here who said it was trash

I don't know how Boot Camp Cilk fukked it up and it was 1997 too, they could drop dope group albums but when it came time together shyt was terrible.

I tried many times to get into that album and just couldn't

Might be my first big disappointment in HH. I was already a Wu stan but BCC was right there with the Mobb as my other go-to crews/groups. I still remember listening to the album over and over again like I would magically start liking it too :mjlol:

Don't buy the "flood" excuse either. RZA has an encyclopedia-like memory/knowledge of martial arts flicks and music history.

No way that he lost beats because of a flood and had to make new beats, or whatever excuse they ran with for Meth's album being trash
Heavy weed and dust usage.

The revisionist history on that album is strange. It was considered a disappointment when it came out. He had a lot of buzz and The Source hyped it but when it came out it got a lukewarm response because it just wasn’t that good and the consensus was basically he can rap but his album is meh.

Years later after he passed some people tried to re-christen it some kind of classic album when it made no impact and fell flat.

that album sounded dated as fukk, I’m sorry that shyt was wack. Big picture was much better.

Fabolous first album (Ghetto Fabolous) for me. He had the insane producer lineup (Timbaland, Rocwilder, Just Blaze, Neptunes, etc) and the hype. That album was a huge letdown. That let me know he wasn't capable of putting together a "classic"

Tried to run with the traditional early 2000s blueprint..super producers, forced commerical chick tracks and catering to the west coast/south. Jadakiss first album was the same way and just as dissapointing.
