I'm Somali first of all, and even though i'm western born i see my culture, and religion as morally superior.
Secondly my granddad had two wives ,and he's far from super rich as long as you can provide it all good, and also men who can't provide don't deserve wives it's just reality

If the choices are to starve and die or be one of someone's wives, obviously women will choose to be a wife. But you look at places where women can work and be independent, shyt is no go. , and no i'm not here to debate with you about why my African culture is second tier to your western culture. In most cases with more than one spouse, the kids connected to the wife who isn't getting more resources end up suffering more because they aren't getting the attention and care in relation to the other kids connected to the wife with more resources.
Things are never truly equal in polygamy so the internal competition just filters down to the kids as a function of the wives competing for more stuff.
None of this matters.I entered the Army young, I turned 18 in there. So I was a young, broke, private.
