DB had been working WWE matches and had a relationship with them for years. Not to mention he was undisputedly the best wrestler on the indies for a good 5-6 years before being signed. Thats all because of ROH that he got signed tbh.

They also had CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Matt Sydal and attempted to sign Cesaro during that time. They were well aware of ROH before Mark Henry went to that random indy show. This dude is going to work himself into a shoot, and end up getting an NXT developmental contract offer from WWE because he won’t have the leverage of using AEW in the negotiations.

He’s greatly over valuing his worth to WWE. He’s under 6 foot and looks like an accountant with a Gold’s Gym membership, that doesn’t scream Wrestlemania main eventer. He can talk, but look how far that got guys like Eli Drake and EC3. The only reason Vince would give him a huge deal would be if it could hurt the competition.

Yea this exactly what I was thinking. WWE don’t have any reason to offer him a huge contract if AEW washed their hands with him and there’s no bidding war.

I agree. I understand a wrestler being pissed enough to walk out, but help someone before you do. With the Sasha/Naomi thing I've said that I understand(unless the rumors are true), but they still fukked up. If I'm Bianca I'm never speaking to Sasha again. I think MJF cares to much about Wardlow to leave him hanging.

Y'all boys are real funny. Whether or not you think what MizJF is doing is stupid or not (and it likely is) he's just standing up for what he believes in. Sasha and Naomi walked out of the company as tag champions because they felt they weren't being booked correctly as playfighters and you all are okay with that so what's wrong with this playfighter thinking he's worth more money? Technically all three of them had jobs to do (in both meanings of the word) and didn't do it for reasons they feel are valid. Much like people believe about Sasha's potential "star power," I think MJF REALLY is overestimating his worth but that's his prerogative. Whether or not he'll be Miz's shorter Jewish cousin from Long Island remains to be seen but at least it gives us something else to talk about.

Liggins you are Rarely wrong but u definitely wrong insinuating Sasha don’t have star power. No current wrestler of either sex has the star power she has, it ain’t even close.

MJF on the other hand, if neither WWE nor AEW signs him, will have absolutely no impact on the industry. And he will not elevate any other company who picks him up if that happens.

I dont think his one is that simple. I think MJF is going to go away while Punk slowly turns into everything Hangman said he would. He beats AEW guy after AEW guy until Tony has to literally beg the one person who beat Punk to get the belt back and its his 2nd worst nightmare MJF. Then MJF asks for ridiculous demands that are met and he beats Punk and becomes a hero and a super main event tryrant heel all on the same night.
